We have been trying to get in contact with the homeowner, but we have received to responseWe are more than willing to work with her in reagrds to resolving this issuePlease feel free to give the office a call Thank you

This is in response to the complaint from [redacted] The basement had a exterior water issues that needed to be corrected by a plumberIt was discovered by the tech working on the siteWe called the managing office to inform them that we would not be able to complete the work until the water, that was coming into the basement from the exterior of the building, be addressA plumber came to the building over a week after the call was madeOnce we were notified from the managing office that the plumber has corrected the water issues, the techs resumed the remediation of the building's basementWe had to adjust the dry down process because of the extra water that came into the building during our remediationIn doing so the completion time of the remediation was extendedWe did not charge in full for the remediation of the basement at one timeThere was two paymentOne being the deposit of $5,and the other being $1,The project was completed in full

The mold Inspection went well Took samplesDiscovered that it would be $per testOne room Three tests on Carpet, drywall, wood trim Also, three tests for air on each floorI have moldInstall air scrubbers and get on with it$too much for testsExcessive and very expensive Why so many other than to get money out of me? I have mold Rip it out and repair the room
I asked for one point of contact for the projectI was given RobertHe stopped returning my calls He said he would speak with my insurance and get back to meHe went on vacation Took almost a week to tell me that I had to call my insurance myselfThey asked me why it took so long to get to them
I then got Luke as my contact pointAfter calls he stopped returning my calls
I asked for a schedule of events remainingAfter days and a phone call I never got it
I asked for an itemized list of expenses Never got it
I called the night before every work event One night I was told the next day's event was not on the calendarI had taken a day offI cancelled it
At work I was called asking where was I, that they were at my house
Communication with this company is appalling
The contract had typos It was also supposed to specify days of use for the scrubbers It did not They were supposed to be completed by 4/9/ They were not
Today the vent cleaning crew came
When removing the hose, they broke my basement window latchThey tried to say that gluing it together was good enough Now they are ordering me a new one and will have to inconvenience me and try to install it at night in the dark or ruin another weekend Half of the staff are competentThe other half, including the person who broke the latch due to carelessness or incompetence, are a liability to the company Had they done a decent job, I was going to recommend them to a friend with a mold issue
That will not happen
They are overpriced, not worth it, have horrible customer service skills, do not return calls in a timely manner (told 20-minutes, never or I would call back after an hour) and after all of the stress and duress they put me through, scheduling and rescheduling appointments and me having to keep asking for days off from work and not completely tasks as scheduled, they only knocked off $for the damage to the window
I highly recommend staying away from this company and Absolutelyspotless

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
The job was not completed. They never indicated that is was not completed. They property was left unsecured, and they kept the keys to delay our inspection of the property. They let our plumber in, and our plumber fixed what the requested to be fixed.  This response from the company is an outrageous exaggeration of the facts.  Their response, is worse then the care and workmanship they provided. This is service completely shameful.

water, that was coming into the basement from the exterior of the building, be address. A plumber came to the building over a week after the call was made. Once we were notified from the managing office that the plumber has corrected the water issues, the techs resumed the remediation of the building's basement. We had to adjust the dry down process because of the extra water that came into the building during our remediation. In doing so the completion time of the remediation was extended. We did not charge in full for the remediation of the basement at one time. There was two payment. One being the deposit of $5,095.00 and the other being $1,900.00. The project was completed in full.

Review: On August 10th, 2015 we had Above and Beyond Unlimited Cleaning come into our home to remove mold contamination. After they completed the process of removing the mold, they then came in and installed new insulation and sheetrock where they were removed. They sent an employee to the house to install the insulation and sheetrock in an 8ft by 8ft section of the wall and sheetrock in an approximately 4ft by 8 ft section of ceiling. The employee was here for 4 days in a row and was unable to properly tape, spackle, and sand the sheetrock causing the wall to be unlevel and uneven. He contacted him employer explaining that he was unable to complete the project in an acceptable manner, so the company sent two different employees on the fifth day to try and remediate the problem. They were unable to do so. We followed up the company with emails and calls containing pictures of the damage and an estimate from a contractor to fix the problem. The person we were in contact with (Barbara) assured us that it would be taken care of (in email) but has since not returned phone calls or emails. They also left a large air-scrubber machine at our house which was used to clean the air ducts.Desired Settlement: A refund of $454.75

Review: Where do I begin? These individuals were unprofessional from the beginning. We called them for mold remediation services. I will organize by expectations promised vs. actual delivery.

Expectations promised by Above and Beyond:

-We will arrive at 9:00AM

- It will take us 5 hours Saturday and 5 hours Sunday

- You will need to purchase a dehumidifier

-You will need to set your attic fan at 75°

- You will get your pre and post test reports within 48 hours of completion directly from the company that completes the reports

Actual delivery:

-Showed up at 10:30 AM on Saturday and 11:30 AM on Sunday

- It took them 8 hours each day

-[redacted] the store manager said [redacted] misinformed us and we did not need a dehumidifier

- After some research, an attic fan should be set at a mnimum of 90° in the Northeast

-Reports were not provided within 48 hours; when we called to inquire, we were given the run around for 3 days, and then we recieved two identical reports from [redacted] after 2 weeks. We reached out again, and after hanging up on us several times, they provided the report without any sort of summary; Not to mention that they didn't come from the company completing the testing.

I'd have to say that l felt like they lied to my husband and I. They purposely avoided our phone calls and picked up when we called from a different number. We were never rude to them and provided tips and lunch for their workers.

We also called them after all of this for a different service and [redacted] promised to be at one house at 9 AM and he didn't call or show. The receptionist told us that [redacted] was the owner and he'd get back to us, he never did. When my husband called from his work phone, [redacted] picked up right away and said he was at the doctors office. We are very upset.Desired Settlement: We would like the highest level of management to call us as well as [redacted]. We would Like to be compensated for our wasted time, disappointment, and misinformation.

Review: I contacted Above & Beyond Unlimited company for a mold inspection and testing. They did not arrive for their 1st scheduled appointment and the 2nd scheduled appointment they were 1.5hrs late. Upon inspecting and performing the mold test on Dec 21st 2013 I was told I would receive test results within 48hrs. I repeatedly called and left messages without action. I was given numerous unsatisfactory responses ranging from "we are waiting on the lab, results are in but I need to call you later, the computers down, etc". These were clearly fabricated as I received a statement from the 3rd party mold testing company saying they did not receive my samples until Jan 7, 2014. This over two weeks after the sample was taken. I have no information on how the samples was stored during this time. I am concerned the results may have been affected due to two week time period in which they were likely stored in an airtight container. As mold is a living organism it needs oxygen, nutrients and the right temperature conditions to grow. As a sealed test tube does not provide optimal conditions for mold growth, the integrity of the sample may have been compromised. And thus the result that I received stating the Penicillin strain found was likely inactive could be due to this abnormal 2 week lag time between sample collection and testing. Also this may mean my health is still at risk.

In addition, my account has never been credited as mentioned a in prior email from your employee. Also I have never been contacted by anyone to discuss these results and have never had a call returned from management or otherwise in response to my complaints, period.Desired Settlement: I would hope that at the very least, my account is credited for this failed service and another member of your team comes out immediately for a second test for free.

Review: On 12/31/13, I hired Above and Beyond Mold Remediation company to do a mold remediation job in the attic of our New Jersey property. The contract and initial deposit was done on that day. I received notification the job was completed on 1/9. I paid the remaining balance on that day. I asked about some specific items that were not done. The company stated they went back to complete those things and I received another notification the job was completed on 1/14. On 1/19, the tenant entered the premisses and the large machines the company uses were still running and and plugged in. I contacted the inspector, he stated the machines should have been removed on 1/14. On 1/20, they removed the machines, but non of the horizontal surfaces had been wiped. The tenant deliberately left items on top of bookcase, tables, etc. to ensure the surfaces were wiped and they were not. Due to the majority of the mold being in the attic, the company informed me they would be installing new insulation. At that time I asked for before and after pictures along with the exact amount of insulation they would be installing. I did not receive any of that. I just got a quote. The company did not test the air in the attic until I hired a third party to do the testing. The results came back high and now the company is asking for payment for insulation that is not new and may harbor spores since the testing was not done prior to insulation. This process delayed the ability for the tenant to move out. This job was quoted one week. However, the inclement weather added an additional 2-4 days. This has been a horrible experience working with this company.Desired Settlement: I understand a total refund is not valid because they did some work and somewhat remediated the attic. The used insulation in the attic and the inability to provide quality post test is a cause for concern. They left these machines plugged in a running in the house for 3 weeks. As we know electricity is not free. I would like resolution of the situation by having partial reimbursement.

Regards,

Review: Above and Beyond Unlimited Cleaning entered into a contract with the mortgage company and myself on 10-29-13, for mold remediation and insulation on a new home purchase. After closing on November 1st, 2013, I contacted them to begin work as required by the mortgage company with in 30days of settlement. I was informed they would not begin with out a down payment. In an effort to have them begin, remediate the area for the other contractors to work, and keep my contractual obligations under my mortgage agreement, I supplied them with a credit card number. On November 14th they began work, after approximately 8 days they left the home, although they were not complete. They original estimate provide claimed the work would take 4-5 days. I sent several emails and placed several calls to my inspector/estimator to find out when they would complete the remaining work. After a week of constantly reaching out to them I received and email saying that he was unaware the work was not done and had notified the main office. After several attempts to schedule with the main office, I arrange for them to come out to complete on Dec 7th 2013. No one showed up on that date, at 10am I reach out to their office and was told they were on there way. A call was placed to the office every hour after that was sent to voice mail. I never received any notification why they did not come or that they had no intention of coming. On Dec 9,2013; I received my credit card statement. It showed that they had billed my credit card the full amount of their contract on Nov 14, 2013. This was not only a clear violation of their contract with the bank, but also a clear violation of their proposal that stated 50% no to be billed until completion.

At this time. Jan 2, 2013 they still have not completed there work. There is also a very serious concern that they did not follow the mold investigation report that outlined detailed steps to prevent cross contamination of the mold through out the home.Desired Settlement: finish the contractual work, including moving any items that are necessary because we had to move in prior to their completion. HEPA vacuum all areas including the basement and attic to remove any cross contamination. provide a full refund for the amount charge to the credit card including interest charges, and wait for their contract to be paid by the bank, as per their agreement with the bank on 10-29-13.

Response:

Above and Beyond has completed the work contracted to get done. Above and Beyond cut two checks to match the amount that was charged to the credit card to cover the full amount charged. At the end of the project we were given two check to cover the amount of the project.

Please feel free to give the office a call at [redacted]

Thank you.

Review: I had a suspicious substance on a wall in my son's room in our newly built home (approx. 3 months old at the time of the incident) so I researched and called a mold testing/remediation company, Above & Beyond Unlimited Cleaning. They came and collected 2 air samples and 2 swab samples. The results showed elevated stachybotrys and penicillium/aspergillus. I was told these high of levels required immediate remediation and to leave my home and take nothing with me (I was given an invoice for $8,200 to do the "needed" work). My 2 kids, wife and myself were out of our home for 12 days due to this. During that time, 2 different Certified Industrial Hygienists (scientists specializing in this type of issue) came on 2 separate occasions, did numerous tests (including air samples, swabs, cut out a piece of the wall, etc) and found nothing wrong with my home. My insurance company, [redacted] denied my claim and told me I should research this situation more because they suspected fraud. The builder, [redacted], also told me their council suspected this company was not conducting tests properly. I incurred almost $4,000 in lost wages as well as expenses due to this incident. I have called Above & Beyond frequently and the person who did the testing refuses to call me back as well as his manager. I've been trying for months to discuss this matter and everyone I talk to stops calling me back. I was also told, part way through the process, by a person at Above & Beyond, that they expected me to call looking for a refund because of the way the events unfolded. I have not received any refund or even a discussion about this matter.Desired Settlement: I expect a full refund of the tests I purchased since 2 scientists could not replicate the problem. I also expect the costs to purchase clothing, food, shelter, lost wages and other expenses for my family during the 12 days I was displaced due to the suspicious testing.

Response:
