I had engaged "Above The Peak" to finish out my Basement and included installing raised floor, framing, electrical, plumbingI had estimates from him for Drywall and finishingI was told by Dave [redacted] that a permit wasn't necessaryI didn't know how bad a job they were executing until he revised the Drywall estimate from $ [redacted] to $ [redacted] (a scam)I got independent estimates that put the work at $ [redacted] They also told me to get the Loves Park, IL Building Inspectors in for an immediate building inspectionThey failed the jobsite and said that the Carpentry, Electrical and Plumbing work was wrong, not-to-code & substandard and required significant rework prior to approvalI approached Dave [redacted] to repair and he said he wouldn't until I paid them out against the job totally and then he would assess what work and cost it would beI resorted to engaging other contractors to repair the work, totally an additional $ [redacted] of work for Carpentry, Electrical and PlumbingI documented the repairs in photos and evidence from the contractors engaged in the repairI was forced to take this to Small Claims Court and the Judge said after Dave [redacted] said "Judge, I would of repaired my work", lost the judgement of $ [redacted] to compensate In summary, the work performed and the attitude and professional manner demonstration was extremely substandardThough his contacts state " work performed in professional manner to standard Practices" he doesn't know the meaningI would NOT recommend this company for any work and if so, make sure the building department inspection is "written" into the contract Aside from what Dave will respond to this, the failure of the work performed is on record at the Loves Park Building Department showing physical evidence of substandard work

I'm very disappointed in the quality of the workmanship on the installation of replacement windows in my home Two of the windows replaced are not caulked at all on the outsideNone of the windows are caulked to the siding at the topWe have now had at least days of rain since installation on August 12th, nothing was done to keep water from getting inside the window openingThere are several windows where the wrapping is not secured in any way and also where wrapping was cut too short and does not even meet the sidingWhere there is caulking, it is very uneven and in many places there are gapsIn multiple places the caulking is either touching the wrapping or the siding, but not bothThere are so many places for water to get into these window openings and I'm doubting whether he insulated as stated in the contractThere are several deep cuts into my siding as well When I asked the owner to come and look at the quality of the work, he was very arrogant and rude, stating, "I have a $400,000/year business, just try and knock me off my pedestal!" Unbelievable experience in a bad way, I would recommend that you do not allow this man on your property

Very professional and knowledgeable. Returned calls in a timely manner. I felt that my job was a priorty, when I know they had many other jobs at the same time. The cost was reasonable compared to other quotes I received. But the quality of products they use and the workmanship was top notch. Very pleased!
