Customer from the beginning gave a sad story that she was taken for $70,000-$80,dollars by another company and lost her home, etcThe business owner felt sorry for her situation and tried to work with her on her budget as well as paymentBusiness's general rule is the customer
pays half down for work to be started and remainder upon completionThis client is from out of state and business owner felt bad so he tried to work with her on paying when she came into town Client came into town and remaining work that was to be completed was a door needed to be painted and because of the rain, it could not be done while she was still in town
She hired another General Contractor to come and inspect all the work(walk thru) that was completed by business ownerThere was no other concerns by the GC and payment was paid in full by customer (with the understanding that the door would be painted)
Customer texts saying their is moldWe asked her where it was located and she said the basement (never mentioned any other areas)Customer emails business attached with an estimate from the GC for mold removal in the basementBusiness owner emailed back customer that per their discussion while she was still out of state that they would address mold removal in a separate estimate after they met when she is in townBecause of the working relationship between the two that never happenedIt wasn't until after the fact that their was no mold removal in basement bid from our company, that she recanted and said that the mold was in other places
The bid from the other contractor specifically says Mold in BasementThere was no address of Tuckpointing until this Revdex.com complaint was issued
Turns out the GC who did the walk thru and who gave her a bid for mold removal in basement, end up buying the houseThe business owner and GC saw each other in passing at a local *** *** about a month after work was completed and GC never once mentioned anything about mold or any work that was not done by business owner
We have all documentation from GC and emails from the customerWe will be more than willing to provide documentation
Business owner has been in business for over years and we have references and clients that we still work with since the start of our business ventureThe customer brought a lot of negativity since the start of the jobWe feel that she will not be happy with whomever she would have hired
In the end, we feel as though the customer is playing the victim in order to recoup money that was lost in the sale of the home
