Review: I entered the establihment to use the coin counting macine. I approached the machine, which had no signage to indicate that it was out of order. I pressed a few buttons to prepare the machine and began to put my change in to be counted. I then noticed that the bottom door was not in place and that the change wass being counted, then dropped to the floor( there was no pre-existing change in the machine). all of these activities are in plain view of the personnel on staff and the cameras. after I recieved my reciept from the machine I noticed the date and time as 12:40 Dec. [redacted], 2013. These are both inaccurate. The time was closer to 3 pm and it was Wednesday the **of December, 2013. I began heading toward the cashier to cash in the reciept and she immediately stated that she could not honor my reciept, yet did not stop me from using the machine in the first place. As I waited for her to call the manager to explain to me, other people began to pick up the change from the ground. When the [redacted]comes and sees this, he tells me he can not honor the reciept either, unless I get the change from the floor and other people picking it up to bring it to him. The business is responsible for maintaining the premises on which they conduct business, not the consumer. If the machine was out of order there should have been a sign, or at least a warning from the employee there. The total amount of the change was $8.88 with 10% belonging to the business. I did not recieve my $8.00, I did not recieve any assistance in avoiding such a thing to happen nor did I recieve any courtesy from the staff in rectifying the issue. I still have my reciept, and this all took place on camera.Desired Settlement: I would like the establishment to honor the reciept that their machine printed for me. there was no "out of order" sign.
