Hi ***, On Thursday 1/5/an American Building Supply representative and a Lowe's store manager went to Mr***'s residence, the customer of complainant *** ***. The single and double doors with miniblinds purchased by *** *** were inspected with Mr*** and his concerns expressed. The product was found to be free of defect and representative of fit and function Lowe's and American Building Supply have agreed to replace the miniblind glass inserts in the single and double door anyways. It was agreed upon with Mr*** that regardless if the replacements showed improvement or no improvement, this would satisfy him and no further action would be needed from either Lowe's or American Building Supply American Building Supply has the replacement scheduled to be installed at Mr***'s residence Thursday, January 12. Inspection of the product and the replacement of the three miniblind glass inserts have satisfied Mr*** Lowe's called *** *** on Thursday 1/5/and left a voicemail. The call has not been returnedAs a reminder, American Building Supply supplied the doors in question to Lowe’s who in turn sold them to *** ***I spoke with *** *** today and informed him of our visit on 1/and of the action that was being taken Mr*** has said he is satisfied with the planned resolution and no further actions would be necessary Is there anything else you need from American Building Supply regarding the successful resolution of this complaint? I have purchased two doors for a customer One door is 42" wide with blinds between the glass in a full light door The other is a French door set with blinds between the glass The customer I installed the doors for indicated the blinds only close all the way when tilted one directionWhen tilted the other direction they did not close all the wayHe says he could see through the blinds from the outside when flipped in this direction Called for the ABS field rep to come out and listen to the customers concern The field rep Eric, said he would check with his supervisor and get back to us That was in August, contacted him in September, October, no response Lowes is where I purchased these doors and I asked them to call and remind ABS about this issue Since then a new rep David is now handling our complaint I've asked twice a day for nearly weeks and they have not called my customer to explain that due to a design change the miniblinds won't close all the way both tilt
