My husband and I were spending the night at one of our friend's apartments, located at [redacted] , in Albuquerque, NMWe parked our car in guest parking at 10:pmAt 10:pm, my husband went back out to the car to grab some more of our bagsHe found a boot on our car put on by A.C.P, LLC, which was contracted by the apartment complex to patrol their parking lotsSince there were no workers in sight, he called the number listed on the ticket to discern why a boot was put on the carPer A.C.P's office, a boot was put on the car due to "expired tags being displayed." My husband did have the expired sticker on his car, but his registration was up-to-date, and he had just forgotten to put the new sticker on the carWhen he explained this to the company, he was told that it didn't matter because they had a picture of the expired tagsThe company specifically had to touch my husband's car and lift his back license plate cover, as the original sticker was not in plain sig
12/03/My Mercedes ML-was booted in parking lot of Valencia Apartment where I went to visit last nightThere was no reserved parking sign in the where my vehicle was parked neither any sign for visitor parkingWhoever put the boot on my car they scratched my car bumper intentionally or unintentionally but they put scratches on my scratch less carLeft VM twice to get a call from a manager no response so farI want the compensation for what they did to my car because this is going to devalue my car when it is going to reflect on CarFAx report that the car has a repair
So just like the previous incident reported, I also had a boot placed on a car for "Current registration not displayed properly" at the Aspens apartment complexThe truck is registered but the new sticker was not on the plate since all the thefts of license plates in the areaThe guy says by lease you have to have the vehicle registered, which clearly was demonstrated to him when he removed the boot at a cost of $Also the previous incident reported the man says the lease says "something" about following all laws and what notSo here are a few thingsThe law says vehicles operated on public highways and streets have to be registered, clearly a parked vehicle in a private parking lot is not in violation of the law Not even Law enforcement tickets vehicles for such an "offense" in private parking lots If you do get cited by Police for driving with expired registration, (on a public highway or road) you may have the citation dismissed by presenting proof the vehicl

They had cited me on my jeep and had placed a boot leg on my jeep at 2:am in the morning while leaving my jeep at a friends apartmentNote I do not live here I do not know the rules or regulations, also nothing is stated or posted if there are visitorsI was cited for not having current registration displayed while explaining to them and showing them that I did have my current registration with me and I had put it on my jeep nowThey didn't care they didn't handle the situation very well, I do not believe I should have been cited paying a 75$ fine because a display when I have current registration also it is not posted anywhere stating this apparently it's in the lease but I do not live here in the apartments so I believe this was unfair and in just
