Sorry to hear this customer has had these issues, however we have no record of the customer trying to contact any management at Princess Marble & Granite (New ownership). This home was installed originally by Princess marble. (Old Ownership)However there are no expressed warranties for cracked...

granite. (Industry norm) Granite counters are more susceptible to breakage than glass, because of it's natural characteristics'. Granite has many weak spots around areas like the cooktop, or sink. Any movement due to numerous possibilities such as, house settling, cabinets shifting, weight being applied to the countertop are a few examples of possible causes. For that reason there are no warranties on granite for cracking.Sounds like they were trying to do a customer courtesy replacement. With that process I'm certain that a countertop would not be able to be replaced with a tiled backsplash without some damage to the backsplash, walls, and possibly cabinets. Not certain who they have been in contact with, but again not aware of any to Princess Marble and Granite?We would be willing to do a visual inspection of the replacement, however Princess Marble would not be liable for any damages due to the replacement.

received 5/15/17 from CaesarstoneFabricated by Princess on 5/18-19Origional install had to be rescheduled from 5/19 to 5/22Installed tops on 5/22/17.Homeowner has existing tile backsplash installed. When we install the countertops we have to level them which caused the standard height backsplash to not fit. We could have asked the homeowner to remove the tile and cut them down, however our installer made a courtesy decision to cut the stone backsplash down instead. This caused us to have an extra visit as well as extra expense that we were not charging to the homeowner.Homeowner stated that we could install the splash over his tile, but that can not be done. I spoke to Mr. [redacted] 5/31 and we have the follow up install set after 4pm today per his request.Project should be complete today.
