Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/04/15) */
This customer only wanted the minimum $40 alignment which is a toe in toe out adjustment only if you want the camber camber adjustment it's an additional $40 the customer didn't want to pay that. The price was due to change to $60 at the...

beginning of the month it was a special we were running only for the end of the month and customer was aware of that. he had Cambridge camber issues along with multiple Parts under the front end the control arms are bad the bushings move along the inner and outer tie rod ends have play in the steering gear box has a lot of play as his old truck and needs to front and completely rebuilt is all old and worn out and has seen its fair use . we try to explain into this to him when he came to the other shop. we do inspections before we perform the alignment. To see if any parts or labor jobs can be estimated and done for the customer. we told him you need new parts you need new parts we gave him an estimate of $850 he did not like that estimate he threw a fit saying he paid for the alignment and that's what he wants. we offered to return the $40 before we ever made any adjustments on the vehicle. At that time all we did was inspecting the vehicle as any shop does. he did not want to accept that. He told us to do the best we could and we did. He was told he needs Chamber and camber alignment to help [redacted] tire wearing and we showed him that it would need future alignment and if he got parts replaced to bring it back to get the alignment perfect meaning the camber and Camber issues. Even told us he was moving out of state and would never be back in this town again we didn't see him for a week then one morning I pulled up to the shop and he was outside yelling and cussing at [redacted] and another mechanic I stepped up into the conversation I asked him to calm down he threw his hand in my face and started cussing at me saying I ain't [redacted] talking to you you don't know [redacted]. I explained to him I was the owner and that he had to talk to me he got more irate cussing yelling even louder another customer pulled into the shop I explained to him he needed to calm down or the conversation was over with he was causing distractions and disturbances and the next door neighbor's parking lot. we inspect the vehicle when I showed him that the parts were bad he just shook his head and said no he didn't see them moving. I have videos and photos of worn-out cracked boots and oil dripping out of the gearbox the front end of this truck needs rebuilt and he pretends that is a brand new unit. This customer was explained over and over over that he needed future mechanical work to the front end of the vehicle or the alignment would not make that much of a difference. Its an old truck and he said he was trying to get it on the road again to work out of state with it. It is my belief that this person has no understanding of mechanical problems even when it's shown and explained to him in person or he dose just not care and expect things to be perfect with old worn-out parts. We had previously given this person estimates for the tires as well he brought in his own tires because he said he can get them cheaper. so this guy doesn't want to spend any money just wants to complain about his old worn-out truck and how things aren't perfect and it was sitting for 6 years he said and quoted that he wouldn't spend that kind of money to repair the truck because it was ready for the junkyard anyways. He wouldn't even buy new adjustment sleeves that he was quoted at $20 each we told him we had to heat them up he said do it get it done you're very adamant customer he likes to stand over your shoulders and watch we repeatedly asked him several times to go in the office and he just likes to not listen and to remain in the automotive shop when repairs are done. this customer has no knowledge of how things work in the real world.
There will be no reimbursements. What soever. He paid $40 for toe-in and toe out alignment only. we explain to him time and time and time again the vehicle needed almost $1,000 worth of repair to do the job properly. normal for a full alignment on a truck this size is $80 to $150 any other shop within the Tri-County area
