Absolute Best Movers

Hired them to move my house hold items from one house to another, they needed 2 loads between loads I sent payment directly to their account. Money was pulled out of my account immediately The owner of the moving company is claiming he did not receive the money he is holding a track all of my items hostage as police had explained. I did file a police report and show proof to the police of my payment to them . He has collectibles of mine as well as is that belong to my children. I am filing a civil suit against them for my items . Each time I ask for proof that it has not hit their bank account he gets nasty or ignores my calls . All I’m asking for is my items back and delivered to my house and then let the court figure out the rest.

I hired Dan Manfredi, Absolute Best Movers three weeks before a scheduled move date. I sent (text) pictures and a description of everything to be moved. He quoted me $600, (I paid $600 cash) and I agreed. The day of the move his two movers showed up 45 minutes late. They were two young (early 20's) young men who seemed to do things the fastest way possible, not necessarily the right way. I had moved 6 months previous and used *** Movers, they were great. I had a very large, like new, L-shaped desk that I use for sewing. *** Movers disassembled it to move it 6 months ago and everything was fine. Absolute Best Movers did NOT disassemble it to move it and they snapped a riveted connection in the back. They also removed many of the small nail/screw peg feet and did not put them back. Now I have a BROKEN desk that sits crooked that is UNUSABLE. I have several text messages to Dan and I talked to him twice. He apologized and said he would make things right, then he just ignored my calls. He NEVER clears his phone voice mail so you can leave a message, (it's his scam)so he will only call you back if he chooses to. People with a complaint have no resource. I HOPE YOU can HELP !!!
