It is extremely unfortunate that this event has been brought to the attention of the B.B.B We don’t see the need for the B.B.B.’s involvement as this forum seems out of place and unnecessary for the situation at hand However, we are happy to have the opportunity to comment The B.B.Bis an organization that should be used to protect all consumers against companies performing in unethical, dishonest and misleading acts and activities This is NOT Absolute Carpet Care!! We have been in business since and pride ourselves on our exemplary reputation and our high level of customer service We have NEVER had a complaint filed against us in the years we have been in business While we understand the client’s concerns the day we provided service, the event was actually very minor and was easily correctable by opening the windows temporarily to “air the home out” We spoke with the client on several occasions expressing our deepest apologies Our cleaning truck was parked near the garage during cleaning It is assumed that our cleaning machine’s exhaust inadvertently blew into the garage and subsequently into the house If this was the cause of the detector activating, it was not done intentionally and was not even known to be an issue while we were at the client’s home In fact, the Carbon Monoxide detector didn’t go off while we were there cleaning It happened after we left We will go so far as to say that it is not out of the realm of possibility that something could have happened after we left the client’s residence, leaving us completely un-responsible for the detector’s activity However, when we received the call from the client regarding the occurring events, we were happy to oblige and immediately sent our technicians back to the residence to inspect things and while there they fully cooperated with the fire department This was an isolated and unintended event and it occurred without all parties involved “in the know” In response to the client’s desire for “compensation” There are several reasons for refusing to do so The client agreed to pay the amount on our invoice for services rendered per our signed contract Those services were in fact performed The client already received a discount of $ The client was asking for the services to be rendered at no charge due to the issue with the carbon monoxide detector We found this request to be unreasonable What we did see reasonable was working with the client to find out how to ensure things were “safe” for her as this clearly should have been the main concern Had this event occurred due to something done with bad intent or negligence we likely would have been more willing to provide additional discounts We would also add that the contentious nature and demeanor of the client with separate employees in our office made a “win-win” outcome very challenging and unattractive Finally, to the B.B.B., we would like to add that we have advised all of our cleaning technicians on the events that took place and asked them all to take a proactive approach in the future by parking as far away from the home as possible and to go so far as to take the direction of the wind into account when parking, all to avoid a similar situation in the future Please call us for additional information if needed We can be reached at ###-###-#### between the hours of 8:and 5: We wish our previous client the best moving forward and apologize to all parties (especially the B.B.B.) for the time involved in this Thank you! Review: FALSE ADVERTISING. Absolute Carpet Care sends out a flyer in the paper that says "NO HIDDEN COSTS". That is a LIE. I had to get my carpet cleaned that day and when they showed up they quoted me FOUR times the original price! I said "no I just can afford what I agreed to." The man said that he would not do it. I said "OK I will pay double but I can't pay $400." He still said no.The ad in the paper says $58 no hiddden costs. I finally agreed to pay him $100 to clean the section where I sit. It was a HORRIBLE experience. I called them to try and work something out and they did nothing and cashed my check that I was basically pressured into writing.Desired Settlement: I would like my $100 back and maybe an apology.

At Absolute Carpet Care we always provide a free written estimate before starting any work. There are "no hidden costs" - the written price is the total. Once the price is approved we begin work and never change the price during or after the work. There is no obligation and it is a free estimate. The customer asked us to clean only some areas of the carpet for $100 which we did. We have a return guarantee at no charge if any spots come back.

Review: This company advertises carpet cleaning. It is a clear "bait and switch". I confirmed mulitiple times on the phone that I wanted and planned to use the coupon ($58.95 for 3 rooms). Upon arrival of the technician, he said my carpets were in good shape and the cost would be $170. I called the company, called the manager--they were abrupt and intensely spoke and insisted that the carpets needed more than the coupon covered. I said that I was more than happy to only have what the coupon offered--no more, no less. They said this was not possible and that the minimum amount they EVERY enter a house to clean carpets for is $100. The ad says merely" some restrictions apply, call for details". I did indeed call for details (multiple times before I scheduled their services) and they never mentioned a minimum of $100. If you look at their YELP reviews (which I did AFTER), you will see this is a common way of doing business for them. Disturbing. I am young enough, strong enough, and intelligent enough to push back against this. I feel badly for all of the elderly that they are no doubt taking advantage of.Desired Settlement: I would really like to see the Revdex.com investigate this company. This is what you do, it is why you were established. Protect people and give a hefty fine to this company and put them on probation.

Review: I had the absolute carpet care business come out to clean my carpet based on a ad that stated $58.00 for up to 400 sq ft. My carpet was not that dirty . I have pictures. When they arrived he stated it would be $94.00 although more than I was quoted- I still agreed as we were moving in the next day- got the invoice for $194.00!! . When I called to say that he made a mistake he said he told me 194. I would never had agreed to that amount.When I called on the phone the receptionist said around 50.00 - it was actually 4 times the amount. Unfortunately it is a he said /she said so I cant stop payment. I KNOW that I would not have agreed to that amount. I cant believe that a small 250 sq ft room with no furniture cost $200 to clean. I thought that the other companies were a little expensive when they quoted me $99.00 - unfortunately what I did not know is they were being honest and this company was not.Desired Settlement: I think he should honor the $94.00 price that I know that he quoted me and refund $100.00

As a policy, our company asks that customers be home for our estimates. In some cases customers tell us that they cannot be there so we ask them to be available by phone so we can give them the price of the work and get their approval before we start. When I gave my price for the work I stated the total price and did the break down of the math verbally for the customer. $44 minimum plus 4 treatments of $37.50 each for heavily soiled white carpet for a total of $194. I do believe the customer. I believe she misheard what I said on the phone. Because of this rare situation I offered to send her a voucher for a free cleaning of $100 in value which would make up for the difference she paid. She seemed annoyed but said that was fine and asked me to send it.
