Review: Called and requested a chimney cleaning. The 2 folks that were sent here told me that they would clean everything and asked about the furnace ... I asked if the people that cleaned the furnace also cleaned the run and they stated not normally. So I told them to go ahead, another $200 added to the bill. Well, it turned out that not only did they not do a sufficient job there, with lots of creole left in the arm right off the furnace, but they also did not clean the door off the chimney, which I pointed out to them. When I called the office they sent the men back and it turns out that the cleaning left A LOT to be desired. When questioned about the side door they said they cleaned it and when pushed more they then asked where the electric outlet was so they could plug in the vacuum to clean it...well if you did it right the first time wouldn't you know where the outlet was??? Obviously they did not clean it first time out!!! And when brought down to the furnace they admitted that they did not do a thorough job, but still charged us $200. And to top it all off...never have heard back from the home office to see if all was satisfied. Stay away from this company, they are scamming folks..and this is no joke...Desired Settlement: I want my $200 back from the furnace cleaning...I feel they lied to me about furnace cleaning because it is something that a good oil / furnace company does do but they told me no, and also the job was way below par...nothing to joke about as my husband pointed out to them.

Review: A deposit of $225.00 was given to company for fireplace sweep and install new top mount damper w/50' cable. Company failed to appear at scheduled date and time for repair. Numerous phone and emails to discuss refund of deposit have been ignored. Company is unreliable and dishonest and has committed fraud by the non-return of deposit.Desired Settlement: Refund of $225.

Review: Told me that my fireplace required new refractory panels costing close to $1,200 (installed). Claimed that if I did not replace existing refractory panels, showing 2 hairline cracks, it would lead to a far greater problems costing up to $20,000. I've come to learn from multiple experts that this is not at all true. The replacement refractory panels now show a near identical hairline crack in the same location it was previously after burning only 3 fires.Desired Settlement: $1000.

Review: In September 2013, Absolute chimney restored my chimney and put in a chimney liner. I have called them 3 times and have not heard from them as of 9/12/13. When it rains the wall in my bedroom where the wall of the chimney is located gets wet and terra cotta is seen on the wall. I paid them abot $3,00.00. It was paid in full. I am now wondering if a liner was ever put in.Desired Settlement: I want them to response to my calls and to repair the chimney or give me a refund.
