A year ago we hired Absolute Comfort to redo our heating and a/c including duct workOur one request was that the ducts not go below the steel beam in the center of the house but could be lower at the back due to the plumbingAfter the work began we noticed that they were not going above the beam but rather were going below everywhere - we were told that it couldn't be done so we accepted the workWe have since learned that it could have been done as agreed so we contacted the owner to have him take a lookHe now claims that this wasn't what was agreed (he claims we agreed to the low height everywhere which is ridiculous since one of the reasons we bought the house was the hight ceiling in the basement) and even outright lied when I pointed out an opening above the beam that was cut out by his worker as planned - he claimed that this was not done by his crew
I know that nothing will amount to this (I also know that the owner will deny everything - if he can do it to my face, he will do it here as well) and I will end up paying for the work to be done correctly but I'm disgusted at the lack of pride of workmanship by the owner and even more disgusted that he would look me in the eye and lie about what was agreedWhen it became evident that not only would he lie to me on several occasions and was becoming increasingly hostile and was obviously not intending on reaching a solution, I asked him to leaveTo his credit, he left

We had a pump fail on our radiant heating system. Absolute Comfort came out on a Saturday to fix. It was an $80 part and took less than an hour to fix. The technician charged $454. When asked for a break out of the costs, he refused. That's my major complaint - I wanted to understand how he got that number and he gave me a speech about how they have to pay things such as Workman's comp and such. I understand that, but needed to see a parts/labor/overhead breakout in order to understand the charge. His refusal to give any detail about the costs made me distrust him. We will not use them again.
