Absolute Comfort

This is in response to your letter dated 8/28/2017 in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. After review of the estimates and invoices sent to Mr. [redacted], I believe the bill for the remaining $827.00 is valid and chargeable. Mr, [redacted] called into Absolute Comfort, Inc. to request a bid on plumbing...

and HVAC issues he was having due to the freezing of pipes in his home, which flooded his basement. I inspected the home April 6, 2017 and provided a bid to Mr. [redacted] for the fixing (repair) of broken water lines, replacement of the water heater and replacement of the furnace. This bid totaled $3577.00. With the appointment being set up as a bid on the flooded basement, the bid I provided to Mr. [redacted] referred to the basement work only. As Mr. [redacted] stated in his complaint, he requested another bid to complete the "rough in" plumbing of water lines and replacement of all drain lines to PVC. This bid was for the upper level of his home. Mr. [redacted] stated that the work in the basement was being paid by insurance and the work on the upper level was work he intended on paying himself. Mr. [redacted] had cast iron sewer/stack lines and these lines were the lines that were replaced with PVC all the way to the roof, therefore not included in the original bid of the repair of the piping in the basement only. We also "roughed in" all the water lines upstairs. Although Mr. [redacted] feels the words repair/replaced are used interchangeably, it is very clear that the bid for the basement was to repair the lines damaged by freezing and the secondary bid was for the replacement of the cast iron lines that ran to roof of his home. In regards to connecting the water main to the meter, I will have a technician complete that work at Mr. [redacted]'s convenience.     Lance [redacted] Absolute Comfort, Inc.
