Thank you for the opportunity to respond? ? ? Mrs [redacted] , did not contact me until her Warranty for this job had expired? As a matter of good faith and professionalism, we always give a day warranty on our workThis kind of work requires several coats of paint, and therefore the paint does need days to cureThis is specified in the contract along with advice on how to care for the cabinets and how to avoid damage to cabinets while the paint is curing? When we had completed the work on Mrs [redacted] ’s cabinets, she was very happy and paid us in full.? The problem started when she had a new floor and counter top installed by another contractorThis work was done before the paint had cured and the cabinets were not protected during the installation of her new floor and counter top.? There were several scrapes and gouges on the cabinets caused by the individuals doing the install of the floor and counter top.? ? Mrs [redacted] then reached out to us and requested that we come back and touch up the paint that was damagedWe gladly did this, and did not charge her for the touch up work.? When the paint was mixed at ***’s Home Improvement Store it got mixed incorrectly.? This could not been seen during the touch up process while the paint was wet.? When it dried, the paint appeared to be a slightly different shadeThe client was very unhappy.? At this time, we offered to have the paint re-mixed and we would come back and redo all the touch up work at no charge.? Mrs [redacted] was not happy with that solution and requested that we re-paint the entire kitchen for free? Apparently, Mrs [redacted] preferred the color that was mixed incorrectlyIn fact, she liked it better than the color she had originally chosen and approvedSo she requested that we repaint all the cabinets in the new color.? I informed her that repainting the entire Kitchen in a new color was considered a new contract, and we would have to charge her for it, but as a courtesy, we would not charge full priceSo the options here were, Free touch up with the color she had originally approved, or a partial charge for painting out all the cabinets in the new color she now prefersMrs [redacted] kept insisting that she should get the entire thing for free? After much back and forth with e-mails, and explaining to the client that neither the damage to the cabinets nor the paint mixing was our fault or our doing, and yet we still offered to touch up the cabinets with the current color that she originally approved at no charge Mrs [redacted] still insists that she wants the entire job, re-done in a new color for freeShe could not be reasoned with at this point, and was extremely hostile and rude after this? In reference to the accusation that we did not start the job on time .That is false.? We started exactly on the agreed upon date, and she was kept informed about every step of the job? Since the time of her last e-mail to me, and her complaint filed to the Revdex.com, Mrs [redacted] has taken it upon herself to create a listing of my company on Yelp just for the purpose of giving us a bad review.? She is not on my staff, and did not have permission to create any kind of advertising on our behalf.? This is advertising and defamation of character for our companyShe also posted my personal Cell phone number in the advertisement, which is unlisted and only given to clients when we are working? The listing can be seen at? ? [redacted] ? I also have copies of our e-mail exchanges if it is needed as proof

I am rejecting this response because: There are still some statements being made To address the start date first of all the company would just tell us it would be next week sometime not giving us a specific date As for the warranty the company did say that they would come back and touch up within days because they know that things can happen However it was not the places that my contractors scraped up that I was worried about The cabinet that had the most damage of paint that was chipping right off was the top part of the pantry I knew that contractors scratched up some of the cabinets and they were willing to fix what they damaged However the spots we wanted Absolute Design with Style to fix were the chips and missed spots from when they painted the cabinets.Regarding the paint mix up I know that was ***s, but the paint color the company touched up with was actually the right paint not the original paint they painted with, and this is why we asked it to be repainted There is a difference in the paint colors one having a blue color and the other a grayWhen we went back to the original sample and paint color it was the gray color we wanted and originally approved it was also the same name as on the contract I fully understand that this color mix up was an issue with ***s but Absolute Design by Style did not want to help make it right and just let us know that this happens and there is nothing you can do about itI myself went to ***s and was able to get a can of the correct paint to do the touch ups, at this point there were so many spots that the whole kitchen did need to be redone.Throughout the emails and phone conversations I would not consider myself being rude or hostile anybody who knows me I am far hostile I was frustrated with the whole situation and that is what she heard in my voice The Owner of the Company could also be considered rude on the phone as well.It is my understanding that anyone can post on yelp and I just wanted to share my opinion and if others have a different opinion of the quality of this company and their work they can post it as well. When I posted on Yelp I posted the information that was on the contract/email the company sent to me, so if it was her personal phone number that is where I got it from and I was never told it was her personal email.I have recently had my cabinets redone by another company and in the process of them sanding the doors down to the wood there was evidence of spots that had not been sanded The wood still had a clear coat on themThere has also not been any chipping since the new company painted the cabinets.
Sincerely,
*** ***

Thank you for the opportunity to respond.      Mrs [redacted], did not contact me until her Warranty for this job had expired.  As a matter of good faith and professionalism, we always give a 30 day warranty on our work. This kind of work requires several coats of paint, and...

therefore the paint does need 30 days to cure. This is specified in the contract along with advice on how to care for the cabinets and how to avoid damage to cabinets while the paint is curing.   When we had completed the work on Mrs [redacted]’s cabinets, she was very happy and paid us in full.  The problem started when she had a new floor and counter top installed by another contractor. This work was done before the paint had cured and the cabinets were not protected during the installation of her new floor and counter top.  There were several scrapes and gouges on the cabinets caused by the individuals doing the install of the floor and counter top.    Mrs [redacted] then reached out to us and requested that we come back and touch up the paint that was damaged. We gladly did this, and did not charge her for the touch up work.  When the paint was mixed at [redacted]’s Home Improvement Store…it got mixed incorrectly.  This could not been seen during the touch up process while the paint was wet.  When it dried, the paint appeared to be a slightly different shade. The client was very unhappy.  At this time, we offered to have the paint re-mixed and we would come back and redo all the touch up work at no charge.  Mrs. [redacted] was not happy with that solution and requested that we re-paint the entire kitchen for free.   Apparently, Mrs [redacted] preferred the color that was mixed incorrectly. In fact, she liked it better than the color she had originally chosen and approved. So she requested that we repaint all the cabinets in the new color.  I informed her that repainting the entire Kitchen in a new color was considered a new contract, and we would have to charge her for it, but as a courtesy, we would not charge full price. So the options here were, Free touch up with the color she had originally approved, or a partial charge for painting out all the cabinets in the new color she now prefers. Mrs [redacted] kept insisting that she should get the entire thing for free.   After much back and forth with e-mails, and explaining to the client that neither the damage to the cabinets nor the paint mixing was our fault or our doing, and yet we still offered to touch up the cabinets with the current color that she originally approved at no charge…Mrs [redacted] still insists that she wants the entire job, re-done in a new color for free. She could not be reasoned with at this point, and was extremely hostile and rude after this.   In reference to the accusation that we did not start the job on time….That is false.  We started exactly on the agreed upon date, and she was kept informed about every step of the job.   Since the time of her last e-mail to me, and her complaint filed to the Revdex.com, Mrs [redacted] has taken it upon herself to create a false listing of my company on Yelp…just for the purpose of giving us a bad review.  She is not on my staff, and did not have permission to create any kind of advertising on our behalf.  This is false advertising and defamation of character for our company. She also posted my personal Cell phone number in the advertisement, which is unlisted and only given to clients when we are working.   The listing can be seen at  [redacted]   I also have copies of our e-mail exchanges if it is needed as proof.
