I received a bill from AFH Friday 19th - and was turned over to collection agency Monday 23rd.Their billing is over a year behind. This bill was from 8/29/12. Also, the $95 dollars that is owed is in the CURRENT status. THen on Monday Sept 23, I got a collection notice. Proper billing should be reviewed at Absolute Family Health in Bartlett, TNI worked for [redacted] - as International Finance - even the Foreign exchanges had better billing.Desired SettlementI need to find out the billing rights? How long does one need bill the consumer and what are my rights.Please make sure that they know the law.Business Response Prior to the above situation had received harassing facebook messages from above person regarding a school (which both of our son's have been in the same class for the past several years) fundraiser which I had not paid in full in the timeframe she had requested and she was demanding that I send in the money by a certain date. On 9/23/13 Received a facebook message from above person stating she had contacted Revdex.com and [redacted] was next due to she received a bill for $95 on 9/20/13 for date of service 8/28/2012 and then received a letter from collection agency on 9/23/13. Instructed to call billing manager after 9am the next day to discuss and that we had over $30,000 owed and accounts with collection agency were due to expire and billing manager was instructed to send anyone who owed more than $50.00 over 120 days to first phase of collection agency which we have been told would not affect the person's credit but would help get past due money paid. Informed that have not paid myself for the past three years since opened my clinic in which my goal was to offer a better healthcare for God's people and my ex-husband was trying to reduce child support and alimony and was having to re-evaluate the business to try to change things so that could start paying myself so I would not have to close what I have worked so hard on for over three years now. On 9/24/13, informed by staff that above person showed up at clinic being disrespectful to staff due to billing manager had not shown up yet. Received text from above person stating that she was at the clinic and billing manager was not there yet. Informed that never told her to show up at the clinic but to call the clinic to speak with billing manager but to ask staff to send a message to billing manager and when I arrived at clinic I would have billing manager contact her regarding. Upon arrival to clinic spoke with billing manager who stated that the bill that was sent on 9/20/13 and the letter from collection agency was regarding two different bills, one for above person and another for her family member and that she had already spoke with the above person who was very disrespectful on the phone and informed her that she can always access her health insurance explanation of benefits on-line and that this level with our collections company would not affect her credit and once she paid in full then she would be removed and to call if she received anymore letters from the collection company. Billing manager emailed above person's explanation of benefits to her per her request. Received text from above person stating that if I could not bill correctly then I should not be in business. Received two checks from above person on Wed. 9/25/13 which were informed to billing manager and above person who both verbalized understanding. Was also informed that on 9/24/13 the above person was putting negative comments regarding the clinic on her facebook page. Sent text to above person asking her to quit slandering my clinic and to let me know if situation had not been handled to her satisfaction. Also informed that our billing policies and procedures were being evaluated and changes made to better serve our customers and apologized for any inconvenience.
