Workers who take pride in their work.
My gutters were installed today by Absolute Gutters. I cannot say enough about the two gentlemen to worked on my home. Upon their arrival, they immediately came and introduced themselves and shared with me what they would be doing and invited me to the truck to see the color of the gutters they would be installing. Alton and Jose worked quickly and efficiently. They appeared to have a good working relationship because everything went smoothly. When the finished my job, they cleaned up everything. It was so nice to see that there are still people who take pride in their work. Thank you again, Alton and Jose.

James, Jeff and Patrick did an excellent job. James was the sales associate that came out for the estimate. Jeff and Patrick were the installers. They were excellent meticulous answered all my questions and I would definitely hire them again in the future. All three were very respectful and it's so nice to see during these times.

Gutter system was to be fully cleaned and inspected but was not, downspouts full of leaves and sticks and am now having damage to property heavy rain.
Gutters and system were not completed, drainage on new downspout was not provided past house, business was contacted twice and chose not to respond.

Desired Outcome

Since you were given a chance to fix it and chose not to I want all charges waived. I will post the results of your shoddy work in public if not.

The gutters can be properly cleaned and repaired any time to earn back business and avoid negative reviews. It was very clear nobody took the time to pressure wash the gutters nor clean them or blow out the gutters in pool cage and the products installed didn't drain away from house. I had to fix major landscaping issues as nothing was draining correctly so I am still requesting the charges waived.

We reviewed your job notes and found that your job was completed and paid for on 2/14/20. We have no information on attempts from you to tell us the job was not completed correctly. This is the first time we are hearing from you which is 4 months after we cleaned out your gutter system. We have made 2 attempts to contact you (6/8 & 6/11) to resolve your concerns. we do need you to know that after 4 months your gutter system could be filled again and that could be what is causing problems. As I stated previously, we were never made aware that you had concerns with your job done 4 months. At this time (4 months later) you are do for another clean out which could be the reason you are having water issues. If we were made aware of any concerns 4 months ago, I assure you we would of gone back to your home and re-cleaned it. You did pay in full 2 weeks after we were done with your job, therefore you had time to review our work. Please call us at 813-962-2309 to give us a chance to resolve this concern.

Started the job quickly, but then left it unfinished for a month and a half. I made several calls, always receiving voicemail with no return call back.

When the job was finally completed, they didn't like that asked for them to take money off the job and kept avoiding my phone calls until they wanted to demand final payment!!

I'm sorry for your frustration Mrs. however this is not an accurate account of what happened. We did take a large amount of money off of your job without delay because we knew it had taken too long to complete your job. I spoke directly to you each time you called and assured you the job would be completed and discounted. When the job was done you did not pay for months even though you kept telling us you mailed the check. Unfortunately, we had to turn it over to our collections department and only then did you pay.

Sold unneeded work and charged for work not performed.
Experience with absolute gutters.

Here are the events as they occurred. This is not a post because I'm mad that I had to pay for service, this is a post to make others aware of shady and unscrupulous business practices.

*Originally contacted Absolute Gutter to repair a saggy front gutter.

*The estimator came out and there was a miscommunication of some sort and he gave us an estimate to do the back lanai gutter, which included a leaf guard, clean, out, seam seal, and new downspout.
The cost for this was $620 dollars.

*I called back and explained that my original request was for the front gutter, the estimator (Chris I believe) said "OK, we can also replace the front gutter and install a leaf guard there as well".
The new estimate including the front and back was for $1260. So, they added around $640 to do the front now.

*The installer comes out and replaces the front gutter, but did not replace the wood backing as discussed on the phone, so it's screwed into the same bad boards are the previous gutter.
But I'm willing to chalk that up to miscommunication, even though I doubt it. They also did not complete the job as shown in photos, french drain not connected, metal scraps in yard.

*The installer tells my wife "we can't do the back, it's not safe, you need an aluminum company to that since we can't stand on the roof". THEN GIVES ME AN INVOICE FOR $1000.

*I call Absolute Gutters and ask for an explanation and I'm told they will get back to me. I then get a new price of $940 dollars, like they did me a favor. Again, I ask how the price of the front was $640,
but you are charging me $940. There was no cleaning, nothing but a single downspout put on the back.

*Mr. M., who I understand is the owner, comes to the house. He fixes a problem with front downspout connected to french drain, and reseals a seam (which I believe is just laying a line of caulking) on the back.
I ask about the charge again and he then tells me the back already has a leaf guard.

*Now I'm confused. I was originally quoted a new leaf guard on the back, but it wasn't done because "it wasn't safe" now I'm being told it's already there. Which is it? If already there, why was I sold that?
*I asked Mr. M. for a breakdown of the new cost ($840), which I got. The problem with this is:

Why was I originally charged $940 the first time if the back wasn't fixed and the reseal wasn't done until Mr. M. did it yesterday. And the front was incomplete until Mr. M. did it on the return trip?

I feel like I was cheated and the little costs were inflated to make money. $75 dollars to lay a bead of caulk? $75 dollars to connect a downspout?

I would have NEVER agreed to pay these costs for this little work. I was quoted for a complete job. Now I still have my back full of leaves, with no leaf guard, and my front gutter is screwed into the old wood.

In the end, I was either sold something I didn't need, or charged for work that wasn't done. Either way, those are the facts, take them for what you will, but my advice is to stay away from this company.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund for the amount I paid over the original invoice.

The business contacted me and we came to an agreement as to a resolution. This complaint can now be closed with customer satisfaction.

Company has been contacted many times about poor/incorrect installation and acknowledged it but fails to come back to fix
I hired this company to clean out my gutters and place leaf guards in them. They came out an first only placed them on half of the gutters instead of the entire house as I paid. When they came back out there is a part that was put up incorrectly and looks horrible, as well as, they still did not complete the entire house. I had to call them again and spoke to a manager who assured me things would be made right. The did return and completed the house but no one corrected the improperly installed guards as I informed them. I then had to call AGAIN and spoke to a manager to informed me that he would personally be out on Monday to fix the issue. This is now Friday and no one had been out to redo the incorrect installation

Desired Outcome

Fix the improperly installed guard for the gutter on our 1 care garage

We would like to apologize for the inconvenience our customer went through. This is NOT our standard practice because we pride our selves on Honesty and customer satisfaction but we unfortunately dropped the ball with this customer. This situation occurred during our busy season however, we have made this situation right and our customer is satisfied.

I have used Absolute Gutters back 10 years ago and needed new gutters very recently. They were great. James and Justin were very good to work with on pricing and layout of the gutters and adding leafguard. Paul and his team did a fantastic job removing and then replacing the gutters and even helped me pick a better color to go with the new paint job on the house. These guys even worked in the rain to get the job done. I highly recommend them. Price was fair and a job well done. Most of all honest and reliable
