I am totally satisfied with the service provided me by Absolute Moving and Storage.
[redacted], the owner, was very flexible with me, as my moving and storage needs kept changing. Skip, the operations manager, came out the day I called to give me an accurate estimate of the expenses. The movers, [redacted] and [redacted] were prompt, respectful, hardworking, and careful with my items. I appreciate that this is a local business, and I was able to speak with the courteous owner directly. If anything, he is too modest because he did not ask for a review; I choose to support good work.","pos-1

I was assured my quilting machine would be handled with knowledgable folks. It was handled by some one who never saw it before'put together backwardsI moved by this company w non-binding contract from owner. My quilting machine was of concern, but assured it was fine. Someone with good skills in mechanics would handle it and put it together at other end. I got an erragent young person not willing to move machine but had to. He put it together unwillingly. backwards tho told x2 how to put the end pieces, he did not accept help from me or anyone else, and hid part of the screws in a drawer before leaving. There was a book of specific instructions he did not follow. He also left desk half put together and it could not have drawer put in due to quilting machine in the way (quilting machine weight is about 1000 lbs and not moveable by me). Now I cannot use the hydrolics of the machine without having someone take it apart and putting things right. I phoned owner about his unwillingness to put machine together--and later about screws in drawer, machine backwards, and desk half put together. Owner stated he had trouble with this man, bad attitude that day also. He agreed to pay about $100. to get desk put together and hydrawlics working if possible. There was also a bed not put together that needed put back together. As that was being done by someone else, we discovered bed should not have taken apart in the first place--it unlatches. And movers lost a part of the bed. I ofcourse called after to discuss what estimate was and owner changed his mind, very rude on phone but still agreed to pay some of the bill. It never arrived.Desired SettlementA partial bill is better than nothing but the entire bill paid to put together the bed, move the desk so it can be put together, and move the quilt machine over so I can use it would be nice ($125.00) The machine will have to stay as it is and just got moved over which my guys did. The hydrawlics will have to wait til later as I can not aford the cost to get someone change the machine around correctly. That would be expensive. Business Response /[redacted]/Contact Name and Title: [redacted], OwnerContact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@absolutemovingandstorage.comIt was clear before the job we did for this client was concluded that the customer was dissatisfied with how her quilting machine was set up. We made every adjustment the customer asked for once that became clear, and agreed to discount her fee by $100 for her trouble. The issue WAS resolved at the time the job was completed, so much so that before our guys left, the client gave that $100 to them as a tip. The customer seemed to have a change of heart after the fact and called to complain, at which point we agreed to send her a check for an additional $100 so that she could contract someone to make the additional adjustments she wanted. That check was not mailed as promptly as it could have been, and for that we sincerely apologize. At the time of this posting, however, a check for $125 has been mailed. We are including two pages in the attached PDF. One is to show the original price quoted to the client, and the other shows the final bill she signed, showing the $100 difference in figures.Consumer Response /[redacted]/The owner of absolute Moving and Storage did send check for $125.00 and just yest it went through his bank. I had to wait to see if it was or was not going to clear before returning any response. He did send the money he promised on phone to correct the blatent problems left here at this house probably cause of Revdex.com.. That still leaves the table backwards, the pneumatic legs not working, and a very bad impression of that company. I will never recommend the company under any circumstance. His employees was so rude and angry that I had to get rid of them out of my house before I was in any danger (I am older female and they were 2 strong males). Thanks for helping here although the company did not do me totally right. [redacted]
