tape. If we see a safety concern we let the customer know. As the alternator has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with a control arm or a tire or wheel, there is honestly no way we had anything to do with her vehicle breaking in any way. The number only response I get from people when I show them the complaint is "what does a control arm or wheel have to do with an alternator?" She also mentioned I somehow rigged her car because she said she wanted to go to another mechanic. I was actually hoping that she would. I have pretty much the busiest shop in Newark with hundreds of loyal customers. Every time she comes she thinks we did something to her 1996 car. Then she slanders me on websites calling me racist and telling all African Americans that I am racist and not to come here, especially females. Hard to believe since about 60% of my customers are African American females that love me, bring me cookies and Christmas cards. It would be hard to be racist as my girlfriend is not Caucasian. She wants paid for an axle and whatever else they replaced that also has nothing to do with an alternator. You can Youtube how to do the alternator on this car and it comes right out under the hood.She called and told me what happened and told her we would look at it and she hung up on me. I don't know what else I could have done. I'm sure it would have been cheaper than the price she paid, but as she says I always charge too much. All I have here are true facts, I'm sorry she has a 1996 Sebring that is in horrible shape, but that is not my fault. If I would have looked over the car top to bottom she would have said it wasn't like that when she brought it in and that I sabotaged it somehow so I fixed the part under warranty and that was all. I hope this gets resolved as soon as possible as I am already dealing with a lawyer in a defamation of character / slander suit about her false ignorant comments on the internet about my business, not knowing what she is talking about.
