It is the responsibility of the vehicle owner to make sure the permit is properly displayedThe monitors do not look past the windows to see if you left it laying on the seat or if it fell on the floorSome may see that as mischief or a violation of privacyTherefore it is against policy to look in any place on the vehicle besides the windows
This particular vehicle was impounded for being parked in the wrong place at the wrong timeAudio recordings from out telephone system recorded you calling the office worker a ***You never asked if we were open to pick up your vehicle when we are in fact open on saturdays and sundaysYou also
did not pick your car up until two days later
I am rejecting this response because:
Here is a photo of the valid...
parking pass. As you can see it is signed out for the entire month of February, and also states that it must be removed from the mirror before the vehicle can be operated. Obviously on a paper tag that causes stress on the joint that goes around the mirror of the car. To prevent being towed again with a valid pass it is now being taped in the vehicle at that joint. As your worker saw, as well as the person I had with me, when I walked out to the vehicle for the first time I opened the door and picked this valid pass up off of the passenger side floor. The pass was present inside of the vehicle, as your response said, but had fallen off of the mirror because of this faulty joint in the paper. Obviously this wouldn't happen with a pass if it was used for a day or 2 as normal with someone visiting the property.
There are photos of the vehicle that were taken prior to the vehicle being towed. The protocol is if there is no permit present the vehicle will be removed. The parking monitor did his job properly. See attached photos.
