Absolutely Automotive

Review: I needed my breaks fixed before a snow storm, a few days prior. This vehicle is my work truck, it is how I make a living and support my family. I run a landscaping business and plow during the winter months. I brought them my truck to fix my breaks so I could work, before the pending snow storm. My good friend who works as a mechanic at Absolutley Automotive said they would have it done the same day. I dropped my truck off in the morning by driving it there. They called me later that afternoon to tell me it was done, I said I would be there within the hour. When I got there my truck was immobile. It would not move and when I started it was making a terrible noise. I then had to go and tow my truck back home. I took it to Friendly Ford in Poughkeepsie, NY where they told me my transmission was blown. I recorded my miles the day I dropped my truck off to absolutely automotive and the truck was driven. I have had no truck since all of this because of the length of time it has taken to get my transmission fixed. IT was a $200.00 break job, witch has now costed me an additional 5000 to get my transmission fixed. When I proceeded to speak with mechanic and owner of absolutely automotive when this first happened they said pay them $3000.00 to replace with a lower grade transmission then what I had installed. I have reached out to them for all of this aggrivassion and they will not take responsibilty for the money, aggrivassion, time, loss to my business and pain.Desired Settlement: I would like the money back and to be compensated for all of this.
