Revdex.com:I do not agree with their statement saying I did not attempt to contact them before contacting the Revdex.com (I have numerous e-mails that I can supply, including their replies, and some e-mails sent to customer service that went unanswered). I don't want it on the record that I am simply this "bad guy" who wants it my way. They ignored e-mails and changed the stated rules about accessbility after distributing tickets. All fire safety, regulations, plans, etc, should be set before ticket distribution. I know, as I used to produce events. Their lack of empathy in this situation is still unnerving. Also, I did not complain to the book manager. The book manager contacted me after I contacted the Revdex.com, after I did not receive replies to my attempts at contacting the Coop though e-mail. Contacting the Revdex.com is a last resort, and I obviously needed to do that to receive a prompt reply from the Coop. The book manager was understanding, nice and professional. He was timely in responses, and was easy to work with. He made a bad situation much better. I think he would agree that I am far from an unruly customer.I do find it ironic that the Coop is happy to quote the rules of the event page when it came to pointing out how nice they were to sell me the book (it did say I must be at the event - and I appreciate they sold me the book, which I think was very much the right thing to do given the circumstances). If we want to go by the rules of that page, then strollers should have been allowed, as they weren't prohibited on that page. Rules change, though, right? I just think the Coop needs to reflect on this situation, and not chalk it up to some angry customer who wanted a book and laugh it off. This goes beyond the book. Rules should be set BEFORE the event, employees shouldn't make statements judging what is best for a customer's children, and a store should not write things about a customer that weren't true (that I didn't contact them before writing to the Revdex.com! C'mon folks! E-mails, in most cases, are permanent!).In the end, I received my book at the agreed to price, and while I didn't get to meet Mr. [redacted], I consider the matter closed. However, I will never be a customer of the Coop again, nor can I ever reccomend their store to any family or friends.
Regards,
[redacted]

The Harvard COOP never received a formal complaint or letter from Mr. [redacted], it seems he went straight to the Revdex.com. The situation was that Mr. [redacted] signed up for a book signing here at the COOP on 10/10/16.There was a limit on the number of autographed books/people that could attend and it was...

clear on the rules for the event sign-up that only ticketed people in attendance would be able to purchase a bookHe received an invitation, but couldn’t attend based on weather, so he missed the event. He talked with our book manager and complained that he should be able to purchase a signed book even though he wasn’t in attendanceand that we didn’t allow strollers for the event, even though he didn’t attend the event. 1. event rules stated"Please note: We are not taking requests or pre-orders for signed books. Only ticketed customers present at the event will be able to purchase a signed book.One(1) ticket per person limit. (minors 6 and under may accompany a parent/adult). Tickets are non-transferable." However, we did make an exception for Mr [redacted] due to the unforeseen circumstances with his travel. Mr. [redacted] contacted us to make arrangements to pay for the book (the event "wristband ticket" was free / no book payment was made at the time the ticket was reserved)The book was shipped on 11/1,  after several emails back and forth between the store and the customer on payment method and if we were shipping the book to him or if  a  local relative was going to pick it up. The book was delivered on 11/2 at 5:33 pm via UPS.  2. The stroller restriction: This is a restriction followed at many concert and stadium events for public safety.  All plans were reviewed with the required parties,  and we are required to comply with  occupancy issues and fire exit regulations. We also needed to allow enough space and access for ADA accessibility.  Below is the information posted re: the event rules and regulations. This should settle the issue. If you need more info, please contact me.
