I Had system installed by abstract two years ago in my house 4 camera one camera not working because sloppy wire job gave no instructions on how to use system and no instruction booklet

This person was referred He charged $2500 I paid $1300 He cancel many times and other times did not show He refused to give my money back I took him to court did not show now I am in process trying to get my money

Review: [redacted] installed 10 cameras in my building over a 2 week period in august 2013. Each time he was expected to arrive he was either late and on the phone or a no show til another day where the lateness was again repeated. [redacted] spent the entire installation on the phone. I believe that as a result, the installation was not done properly. I have patiently waited since aug for [redacted] to complete the installation of 11 cameras , 3 additional lines , a dvr and a router (for remote access). [redacted] installed 10 cameras, 3 additional lines and a dvr for a total of $1,475 (which I paid him for in full in cash) breakdown is as follows$75 per line (13 total) + $100 per additional camera purchased (i purchased 2 from him he did have the 3rd on hand he initially installed the 8 that I had purchased previously) +$300 for a 16 channel dvr.[redacted] is aware that one line was not working. In addition he needed to repair the other 2 lines installed in the 2 apartments in my building.After over twenty (20) efforts to have [redacted] get his lines working [redacted] never showed up and rarely responded to text messages.Finally he agreed to refund $75 , which I have not received . I am asking for the 3 lines to be refunded so that I can have them re installed and working in my tenants apartments.Lastly I have repeatedly asked for a receipt and a letter for my insurance company. [redacted] is refusing to supply me with either. I am entitled to both of these. Both items are necessary for my personal records, income taxes and insurance company and [redacted] is aware of this. Finally [redacted] left a birds nest of unlabeled wires behind the dvr that will be extremely difficult for anyone other than himself to work with, therefore when I have any problems and when the additional camera is added it will be a daunting task.Desired settlement: I would like a refund of $225. ($75 per non working line)i would like a receipt for the total amount of cash [redacted] received $1,475i would like a letter stating that I have installed security cameras in and around my property.
