Dear [redacted] sorry to hear about your accident with your [redacted] on the Merritt parkway on 6/12/I hope you are ok with no injuriesConnecticut State police called us to tow your car from the accident scene at about 7:15pm because it wasn't drivable with fluids leaking onto the roadway On or about the 13th, a gentleman named [redacted] ***k called me to ask if we had the car and if we could give him an estimate to repair itI told him that it was a total lossWe provided him with a preliminary estimate of what was visible at that time [redacted] called me back and asked if I could do anything for him since he claimed he had his own repair shopI extended professional courtesy to him by suggesting that he could supply me with the parts at his cost and to just pay me for the labor, in which he agreedWhen the parts arrived we started to tear the car down to start the repairsUpon tear down of the front of the car, we discovered there were more damaged parts that needed to be replacedThis is standard practice once a car has been taken apartThe insurance industry refers to this as supplemental damagesI then called [redacted] to inform him of the additional damage that was found, but he didn't believe meI tried to explain to him that the head lamp was cracked, the unibody was bent, the head lamp mounting panel was cracked and so onI took 2-pictures and emailed them to him so he could get a better idea of what we were dealing withWhen [redacted] called me back he seemed to sing a different tune, I guess he didn't think the car was damaged that badlyHe asked if we could just make it drivable so it could be driven to his shopI told him it must be safe first before I would let it out of my shopI told him that we won't put the damaged bumper or the head lamps back on the vehicle but it would have to be driven during the daylight hours since there wouldn't be headlightsHe agreed and at that point we continued with the repairsWe pulled the lower support to install the radiator and ac condenser, filled the radiator with antifreeze and started the car to bleed the air pockets from the engineWe let the car run for about 1/hour and continued to check the antifreeze level as well as the temperature gauge inside the carWe soon noticed that the engine started to overheat and the temperature gauge on the dash started to go into the hot zone so we immediately shut the car off to diagnose the problemAfter diagnosing the overheating problem we made the determination that the head gasket that been blownI called [redacted] and informed him what we had encounteredHe asked me "why did you replace the radiator if the head gasket was blown?" I paused for a second and recalled that on our first conversation [redacted] stated that he had his own shopI have been in my own business for years an can't believe that he was asking me that questionAny mechanic knows that you need to have a radiator and antifreeze installed to build up pressure in the engine to be able to determine if the cylinder head gasket is blownHe's trying to blame me for the blown head gasket [redacted] ,as I mentioned to you the car was towed to our shop, dropped in a car space outside where it remained while it was being repaired until you picked it upThe car was never driven with or without antifreeze as you insisted it wasThis car with 157,miles on it could very well had this issue right up until the accident which would have just put it over the edgeWe didn't try to hold your car hostage but when your tow truck arrived we were doing a brake job that was blocking your car at the timeWe told the tow truck driver that it would be done in about an hourThen I got a call from [redacted] threatening to sue me asking me why we drove her car without antifreeze and overheated itIt seems that all parties involved are trying to place blame on our shop, but they might not understand the basic mechanics of a car [redacted] called me again after the car was towed away to tell me that I didn't put the parts back on his carI guess he forgot the conversation when he said to make it safe so she could drive it back to his shop so he could complete the repairs

We apologize greatly for the inconvenience of this matterThe key to this car was misplaced on the night of the towThis was during our [redacted] Police Department tow rotation where we tow 40-cars a week and this is the first and only time a key has ever been lostThe driver on call that night has been working for our company for the past years, he has never had any other problems or complaintsWe are offering you a $credit with our company for any future service that you may needOnce again we are sorry for the inconvenience of the lost key as it was an honest mistake by our driver who was doing a late night town run for the [redacted] Police

My car was repaired at AC auto shop when my insurance company paid ~$8,to fix it, couple months later I discovered that the anti-freeze tank was getting empty very frequentlyI brought my car back to AC for them to inspected, they told me that my car was driver without antifreeze thus I over heat the car and it needs to replace the head gasketThe work would cost my $600, he refused to submit a supplement claim and I would need to pay out of packetI questioned Mr A [redacted] how can the head gasket been bad if the car NEVER showed any sign of been over heat and the thermostat NEVER mark in the redI told him if the head gasket was bad is because he did not replace the radiator properlyBy asking questions, Mr A [redacted] got really aggravated, rude, had a bad attitude and hung up in my face after he told me to remove my car from his parking lot asapI was shocked how can a business owner treat customers with this attitude after I spend thousands of dollars at his shop, really!!!I don't understand how can he been in business for so longNext day, I brought my car to a different mechanic, he tested my head gasket and results showed nothing was wrongHe told me I would noticed how the car runs if the head gasket was badThe car was completely fineThen my mechanic discovered that the hole connecting to the radiator was loss causing the antifreeze to linkHe charged me $to replaced the hole and to run couple of testsHe told me my car is completely fineReally MrA [redacted] !!!!!! please avoid these criminals at all cost, and save yourself time, money and aggravationMrA [redacted] is very aggressive, rude and disrespectfulI am so happy I did not argue with me
