Review: My high school son took his grandfathers vehicle to get an estimate on the cost of repairs to the AC. The sign in the lobby said NO CHARGE INITIAL ESTIMATES, the quote given was over $400 and was beyond his allowable expense. After contacting his father, we went to pick up the vehicle from the General Manager, [redacted] he informed me that there was a $91.52 PRO CHECK fee. I asked him if he explained this to my son and if he signed anything agreeing to this cost. He stated that he had a video recording of my son agreeing to the charges. I explained that my son was 17 years old, which makes him unable to enter into a binding contract and that the vehicle in questions did not belong to him, which is why he was seeking an estimate before he could commit to a repair contract. I also referred him to his sign in BOLD print which clearly states NO CHARGE INITIAL ESTIMATE.I then asked to speak with the Owner, [redacted] came to the f[redacted]t desk and when I asked about the cost and the sign and told me to PAY THE DAMN bill or he would keep the car. I made contact with my son's father who agreed to pay the bill, shortly after the bill was paid I went to check on my sons' car which was still on the lift. When I asked [redacted] to deliver the car, Mr. [redacted] told me to get off is property (he was holding a golf club at the time). I told him that I paid his fee and was not leaving with out my property. I contacted the WSPD, when the officer arrived he stated that there was a misunderstanding and someone would bring my car around and that I was banned from the premises. I advised the Officer that I had no intention of returning to the property but I would pursue legal action. I began to video the car, the workers came out with a loose object that was removed from under the hood of the car.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund on the charge, as his advertisement clearly offers a FREE ESTIMATE.

From: [redacted] [mailto:[redacted]] Sent: Saturday, June 06, 2015 4:28 PMTo: [redacted]Subject: id #[redacted]There is a lot left out of Ms. [redacted] comments. #1 her son Mr. [redacted] came in on for us to take a look at his cars air condition. We did not charge anything for that first assessment. We informed him that there was not any thing obvious we could see wrong but , it was out of Freon. We informed him that we needed to do a Pro check which included charging the system with Freon. He requested we go ahead with the pro check, which we did, we called and informed him that there was a leak at the discharge line and that it was in need of replacement. The trouble started when Ms. [redacted] started complaining loudly in the service waiting area. I was ask to come in and Ms. [redacted] informed me that she was not paying the bill and that we never had an ok to do the pro check. I told her that she needed to pay the bill and, her responds was to loudly tell me she wasn't. I did tell her she could not have her car until she paid. Ms. [redacted] paid the bill after which we begin backing her car out she appeared behind the building an started cursing me to the point I felt threaten. I called the police and the rest is history not a word from me at all. I always walk around with a golf club and practice my golf swing.

Review: I took my vehicle (2003 Chevrolet Silverado) to ac automotive to have a clutch installed. They priced the job around $820 dollars so I concented to have them repair it. I was then notified later that the rear main seal was leaking and since they were already at it would I like it replaced, I consented. When the vehicle was ready 3 days later the bill was over $1300 dollars which shocked me but I payed the bill. 2 days later on the way to work my truck began to spill oil everywhere and running very poorly, I contacted them and they said to bring it by. A couple hours later I was contacted and told the truck literally had twice the amount of oil in it that it should have had and I could pick it up. When I picked the truck up they had no answer as to why the truck was over filled with oil had not fixed the leak and the truck still ran poorly. I asked what they were going to do about it and they replied they didnt feel it was their fault in any way and offered no help and said that it was "coincidence" that the truck began having issues after they worked on it. The truck made it 2 miles down the road and had to be picked up by a tow truck and taken to another shop to be looked at. The truck was in perfect running order other than needing a clutch when I dropped it off.Desired Settlement: Since my vehicle had to be picked up by tow truck and taken to another shop I feel that ac auto is responsible for damages, repairs and towing on my vehicle

The next day he calls and brings back his truck with oil running out the front seal. we find that the trucks engine had 20 quarts of oil in the crankcase. ( there should be 10 quarts). Mr. [redacted] admitted that he did not see the oil on his measuring stick so he add 10 quarts.if you have double the amount of oil your crankcase you will leak oil from everywhere..Mr. [redacted] signed a waiver acknowledging that there was no warranty on customer provided parts.

Review: Visited the establishment last friday. For a complete syetem check and recharge.they did that and told me their were no problems. Now 3 days later I go back and the system isnt working well. They kept my car over night and told me I needed a new system. If tgey did the full system check why didnt they find it the first time? Was everythi g working okay before? Very disatisfied.Desired Settlement: Replace parts they day are bad. Because apparently when they checked it the first time it was not bad.the parts mentioned were condencer, dryer and eveaporator.

We explained to him that we need to do what we call a pro check on his cars air condition system. this include charging the air-condition system wit R134A Freon, than check for leaks. At that time we could not find any leaks. since R134A Freon is a gas it will eventually find it way out. We also installed some dye in with the Freon. Two days later Mr. [redacted] comes back and we take a look at his car air condition again, this time we do find a leak at the air condition condenser. We wrote him a estimate for replacing his condenser, and dryer. We did not charge him a second time. [redacted]
