AC took customers cart on consignmentCustomer has a 1960's Taylor Dunn golf cart painted yellow which is a bit harder to sell than the standard Club Car or EzgoCustomer was aware that the sale of this cart would take a bit longer base on the
specs and considering that golf car industry season was coming to an endAC was able to find a customer by promoting cart in a arts festival eventNew potential buyer test drove the cart and asks to see if cart suspension and speed could be modified before purchase of cartWe told the new buyer that cart was on consignment and we could not make the changes possible until the purchase of the cart occurredNew buyer made a decision to purchase the cart month after ACEV called consignee to tell him we had a potential offer on the tableThe new buyer would purchase the golf cart as long as the modifications were made to satisfy the street use for her along with a safer suspension rideThe new buyer agreed to give a deposit for the new batteries and the new suspension parts but would not pay for the cart until she new it was safe for her and her familyIf the modifications were not to her standard she would pay to AC to put cart back to its original conditionAt this time AC failed to inform consignee of a) the offer and b) the modifications that would have to take place if customer wanted the cart soldOne of the reason AC did not communicate properly was because they went thru personal change in their sales and service department and upon taking over the project the communication was lostAC owner then got a call from Consignee asking what the status was on the cart and AC owner explained what the situation wasConsignee although was not happy with the way things were being handled agreed to wait until all work was perform to the golf cart to get consignment payoffComplications then arose upon finishing up the suspension on the Taylor DunnParts were not matching up and the 3rd party machine shop making the custom hubs was never able to get the hubs produced for AC even after months of waitingAC owner then was able to get a hold of another hub after multiple calls to a old customer that had purchase an extra hub months earlierThat customer agreed to sell the extra hub to AC to help the situationAC was able to finish up the Taylor Dunn after weeks of receiving hubNew buyer has now test driven the cart and deliver has taken place along with the purchase paymentAC will submit a check to payoff consignee within the contract time allowed upon execution of consignment agreement
