In regards to the *** *** issue, complaint number ***, I believe this customer was treated with the utmost respect and due diligence to her concernWhen this vehicle came into our care there were multiple warning indicators on all stemming from a faulty Skid Control Unit (SCU)After being quoted for a new SCU the customer requested that we find her a used unitAt the beginning, I was told by my parts supplier that the SCU was not VIN specific and could be replaced without programingI received the wrong part two times before I was informed that the part I needed was VIN specific and could not be reprogramed
At this point Mrs*** was contacted and informed that the part had to come from the dealership and at this point she was unable to purchase the part at this timeShe requested that the vehicle be put back together so she could drive itThe vehicle was returned to the state that it was in when it came into our care to the best of our abilityWe were unable to test any systems before Mrs*** picked up the vehicle because the systems in question were still inoperableWe had every resource available to repair the vehicle, but as I said before Mrs*** declined the repair
After countless hours of diagnosis, tear down, reassembly and the loaner car we allowed the customer to use for seven days while we were determining the direction we needed to take we were asked to return the car to the customerWe only charged the customer $for all the work we had performed to the vehicle per her request
As far as additional damages to the vehicle, we were unable to test any systems on the vehicle because we were not authorized to make the necessary repairs to the vehicle, and after the vehicle left our possession, we were never given the opportunity to look at the vehicle again to address any additional concerns with our quality of work or broken partsWhile disassembling the vehicle all systems were disabled and there is no way of knowing what systems may be affected by this and we were not given time to properly test all systems prior to the customer picking up the vehicle
The personal property that was removed from the vehicle was forgotten during reassembly because we were rushed by the customer to get the vehicle back to herAll items were mailed back to the customer at no cost to her
I feel that Mrs*** was treated fairly and given every opportunity to have her car repaired and returned to her complete and workingShe had chosen to take the vehicle elsewhere and any subsequent repair to the vehicle after it has left our possession is the responsibility of the customer

In reviewing this response for ACProvo’s I still believe according to the State of Maine’s own Consumer’s Law Guide, Chapter Section and Section I believe my car was damaged while still in their care and that the work was done poorly which resulted in the additional damagesI have pictures on my phone of the indicator lights were on display when my car was left in their care and pictures of the indicator lights that were on when I picked up my carWhen I picked up the offered loaner vehicle one July 7, my car was parked inside a repair bay, as it was driven straight in, with the dash taken apartWhen I picked up my car, it was parked outside and away from the same repair bay facing the opposite directionThat being said, while backing the car out of the repair bay and parking it away from and facing away from the building one would have to notice there was an issue with the power steering and see the additional indicator lightsI have the right to bring my car anywhere I choose for the repairs to be completedI did not have to bring my car back to ACProvo’s to be repaired whether it is for the original repair or the additional damages.I have faxed a copy of the quote, repair bill and confirmation of payment to the dealership to ACProvo’s on July 28, requesting again for a full refund of the $I was charged, $for the cost of the repair of the broken spiral cable and $which half of the cost of the inspection of my vehicle to which it was determined that the electronic component for the power steering was not plugged back in as well as broken spiral cable were foundTotal cost for inspection was $I believe legally they should be responsible for the cost of the additional damages to my vehicleI did receive in the mail on Saturday, July 25, my paperwork including my registration from my gloveboxRegards,

I am still seeking a full refund of my $plus a payment in the amount of $for the repair of the “Spiral Cable” in the steering wheel that was torn and $which is half of the cost for the inspection of the vehicle where they found the Spiral Cable torn and that the electronic component for the power steering was never plugged back inTotal amount of payment being requested: $809.19.I believe this is a reasonable and fair requestThese additional damages were not caused by reconnecting the same broken module back into my car, but due to lack of care and concern for someone else’s propertyI was provided with a vehicle to use on July 7, and returned the vehicle on July 14, when I picked up my carMy car was in the care of ACProvo’s from June 23, 2015 until I picked it upI did not ask for a vehicle to use but was offered one by *** when we spoke on the phoneIn regards to the $250 payment when the bill was for $325, I was quoted the $on the phone by *** on July 13, when he called to tell me a used replacement could not be usedI asked how much I was being charged by ACProvo’s to which he told me $When I arrived on July 14, to pay my bill and pick up my car, I was told “you were quoted $on the phone so that is your payment amountNot the $325.”I would like to thank you for mailing my registration back to me along with my other belongings that were in my glovebox and never put backI received them today, July 25, 2015.Regards,
