I visited the store in the Bayshore Town Center on April 7, and met with [redacted] to look at a gift for my wifeAfter looking at several rings, I decided on three possible styles that [redacted] wrote down and I said that my daughter, [redacted], would come in during the week to look at them so I could get her opinionDuring the week she did come in and looked at the three rings and after a discussion we decided on the one that we liked and thought that my wife would like
On April 13, I came to the store to purchase the ring that cost $654.72, tax includedI asked [redacted] about any warranties and he said that there was a day warranty against any problems with the ring and that customer satisfaction was a priority over the years that the business had been openAt no time was I informed of the no refund/store credit only policyThe only place that I saw that statement was on the receipt that I was given after the purchase was completed The purchase was made using by [redacted] debit card
I gave the ring to my wife on Sunday April 14, and it was clear immediately that she did not like how it looked on her finger
On April 16, I took the ring back to the Bayshore store to return it and request a refundAt that time I explained to [redacted] that I wanted to return the ring and get a refundHe said that store policy did not allow him to give a refund and any refunds would need to be done by the owner, [redacted], at the Mequon storeIt was 5:45PM and the Mequon store closed at 6:00PM so I could not go that dayHe did not say that the policy was no refunds/store credit only, rather any refund had to be done by the ownerI left the ring at the store that day
On April at went to the Mequon store and asked to speak with [redacted]After I explained the situation she said that the policy was no refunds, store credit onlyI explained that I was never informed of that policy and that [redacted] indicated that refunds could be made by her as the ownerShe again refused to provide a refundAt that time I told her that I would be filing a complaint to get the refund and that I that I did not accept her refusal of a full refund
As I stated, at no time was I informed of the store policy, except on the receipt that I received AFTER the purchase was completedIf it is posted, it was not in a visible locationI have the store receipt and the VISA receipt if needed
