Academy Air was contacted for service by Ms***When we went out to the client’s home, Mr [redacted] was on site The technician found the compressor to be noisy and the system to be low on refrigerantWe presented the options to the clientOur primary recommendation was to have a Comfort Advisor come out and give the client an estimate to replace the systemThe client declined this optionWe next told the client that we could add refrigerant to the system to try to get temporary cooling, but that there was no guarantee on how long the cooling would last as there is a leak in the systemThe client chose to go with this option, but while adding the refrigerant had our technician stop after only two poundsIt was noted that this did not bring the system up to proper charge The client stated that he would call our office if he wanted to get an estimate for a new air conditioner, but that he needed to talk to his wife firstSince this day, we have offered the client the following without being aware of this Revdex.com complaintWe have offered to come back out and check the system at no charge to the clientThe client declined this offerWe have offered to come back and give the client a free estimate on the replacement of the air conditioner The client declined having our Comfort Advisor out as well In addition, we have sent the client a partial refundWhen we spoke with the client on July 19th, she indicated that she was satisfied with the partial refund and understood the chargesA copy of the invoice was mailed to her on that dayAt this time, we feel that the matter has been resolved with the client however we are still open to discussing the matter further if needed

We have currently contacted the client and reviewed his concerns We have offered and a scheduled a contractor that he is familiar and comfortable with to return to his home to review the system operation and condition Additionally, we have offered to return this original investment
and provide a temporary cooling solution until this is figured out We have agreed to discuss the next steps with the client on Monday We will update our response on Monday and anticipate a fair and resolution

We next told the client that we could add refrigerant to the system to try to get temporary cooling, but that there was no guarantee on how long the cooling would last as there is a leak in the system. The client chose to go with this option, but while adding the refrigerant had our technician stop after only two pounds. It was noted that this did not bring the system up to proper charge.  The client stated that he would call our office if he wanted to get an estimate for a new air conditioner, but that he needed to talk to his wife first. Since this day, we have offered the client the following without being aware of this Revdex.com complaint. We have offered to come back out and check the system at no charge to the client. The client declined this offer.
