? ? We understand that you may have several carbon monoxide detectors throughout your home , but we do not take anything for grantedOur meters are sent in for calibration yearly and we trust that they work properly? ? We take gas smells and odors very seriously here at Baumberger..? Our technician responded ? to the gas smell checking the most serious first..? We check CO levels and check the draft on all appliances..? We also check the combustion levels? on these items ? and found nothing wrong and no CO present in the homeAfter doing these things we attempted to start ? checking for natural gas leaks on your behalf.? ? ? We could not access the gas meter because it was rusted very bad..? At that point we suggested calling the gas company to you so they could? remove and repair the meter.? ? We also noted that the customer will recall us when gas company is complete so we can? continue to? gas leak inside the home..? ? ? ? Ive attached? the paperwork that documents this and was agreed upon , signed and also paid for..? The second trip is a continuation of time after you called us back ..? ? That means we do not charge you another diagnostic fee of $? We continued our time as if we never left your home.? We pressurized the lines and repaired and total of minor leaksWe retested lines and repaired a total? of more leaks ..? ? Some of the repairs included reworking the black iron fittings,removing and re-piping connections , repairing leaking valves etc..? We finished with a final pressure test that held..? The gas company was able to turn the gas back on at this point? after they seen it held pressureIve also attached the paperwork for this visit that was agreed upon and signed for.? The tech? clearly states on this paperwork what he had found ..? He also states that the customer has no money to pay the? bill..? We do have to pay our technicians , fuel cost , and parts ? being used on your behalf so in return we only ask to pay your bill

? I am rejecting this response because: The technician said I had no leaks, the? gas company said I had one leak.? I called the gas company, the technician did not suggest I call the gas company.? I told him I was calling the gas company.? He said If I call the gas company call them after he leaves.? So I did.? When he came back I showed him the gas company's note of one leak and he said you have multiple leaks? without checking.? I know it is up to Baumbergers to make this right

In response to the complaint,
On 5/16/we did receive a call from the ***'s on a gas odor coming from the hot water tank or maybe the furnace .. We entered the call into our system around 10am and dispatched a tech by 12:44 Our response is -
hrs for most service calls so I don't see why time is an issue.. The tech went through the home and checked over both the furnace and hot water tank for high COlevelsThe COlevels were less than 0-ppm and everything was ok in the home.. He also tried to access the main gas meter to pressurize the lines and do a pressure test for gas leaks.. The meter was rusted so bad that he suggested to the home owner to call the gas company for a meter replacement so the lines could be checked, which they did.. We left the home around 2:and noted on paperwork that after gas company gets done to give us a call back. This was the invoice for
The gas company did arrive and they fixed the meter and also repaired a leak that they had found outside .. They also pressurized the lines and did discover that the customer had gas leaks in the homeThe gas company would not turn on the gas back on until we returned to find the leaks and repair them on the inside . The customer did call us back the next day and we found and repaired a total of gas leaks in the home on fittings and appliances.. The re-piping of fittings , repairing leaks , valves etcwas a continuation of time and that invoice total was $
To respond to the phrase "we wanted money and found no leaks" ..
We responded to customer call in a timely manner. We checked for Colevels and found 0 in the home and tried to access the meter but it was so rusted that we were unable to check for gas leaks.. Gas leaks and Colevels are different things.. We did suggest calling the gas company for this as they are responsible for the outside meter . To say the gas company is free is misleading because you do pay for their services in your monthly gas bill.. The gas company will not fix leaks within the home.. No one is lying and that's an unfair statement.. The confusion is we found no Coleaks on the first visit ($137.00), which is not gas leaks, and once we were able to get the gas line pressurized than we were able to continue with checking for gas leaks and repairing them, that invoice was
Every company has overhead and the charges would of been the same even if we were able to access the gas meter on the first visit. The fact that being seniors and victim of a large company is unheard ofIf that was the case I would not of called them and try to arrange monthly payments by phone for the We treated the return trip as a continuation of time from the previous day and the charges are fair and owed by the customer.

*** called me back and said he was on his way. He arrived four hours later. No one from Baumbergers have called me back concerning the bill. or even remotely suggest that I could make payments. That I might have a carbon monoxide problem was never discussed. I have two carbon monoxide detectors, one upstairs and one downstairs, both in excellent running condition. I called because I woke up at am and smelled gas in my bedroom which is directly over the furnace. A honest technician would have told me to call the gas company and vacate the premises. He came four hours later and did nothing but used up time and told me We had NO leaks after doing nothing gave me a bill for $If the bill is a continuance of $is from the previous day as you have put in writing then the $should be deducted from the $288.00. He said he could not deduct it, but talk to April. I ended up talking with lying Tim who claimed to be the Service Manager and was rude an insulting and said I could not make payments on the bill. How can you allow a technician to charge $and he did not do any thing, but spent his time in his truck? If I had not took it upon myself to call the Gas Company we could be dead now, and I don't take that lightly

I find it disturbing that Mr. B[redacted] is now  calling me a liar.  Documents and records don't lie.  My account of the series of event are very accurate.  Let me remind him as well, I am an Army Soldier, and we have what they call Army values.  Loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage.  Fabricating a response would not be within those values.I can see that this issue will not be resolve on a professional level here.  So, thank you for your time.  I will be in-touch.
