Academy installed yard lights, but failed to acknowledge the 4th one that was completely missed and non functional
Academy installed two smart thermostats - INCORRECTLY - so I had to pay another company $to reinstall them
We asked Academy to order a panel cover and they couldn't find the right one so they offered completely installing a new circuit breaker boxSurely there had to be another solution, its just sheet metal
Saved the best for last The security light post In front of a $750,home they installed a 4Xbare wood post with the electrical wire stapled to the FRONT and didn't bother to PVC pipe the wire and just barely buried it through the landscapeThen in stead of digging a proper hole for the post they dug down a little and hammered metal pipe on each side to get it to stay put So the hammered metal was all smashed and on display, the staples were rusted after a week and the fixture never worked The controls were frozen and one was busted off completely The whole thing was ugly and a hazard to my landscape crew and I was told by another Electrician that it would not have passed code
So after paying $I gave them an opportunity to replace the light pole After a few weeks I gave up and asked for a $refund, which I thought was quite fair Giovanni continuously said he couldn't get his boss to sit down and discuss the request Finally he said he'd mail $that day and after several weeks we didn't receive the check I texted him a few weeks later and he said he was putting it in the mail that day That was a few weeks ago again
I have never been so blatantly blown off and cheated
I love this company. I have been working with investors for 3 years and with each foreclosure we purchase, (30 plus) Academy Electric is our electrical contractor.
[redacted] is awesome. He always sends his guys out immediately to our properties. In 3 years I have not 1 single complaint!
