Review: Failure to connect with cruse ship (missed cruise) due to inexperience and incompetence of driver and dispatch.

A bus leaving from TF Green airport an hour after we left Braintree, MA delivered passengers on time.Desired Settlement: Promised $400 pp not received - All out of pocket expenses to reconnect with ship and a fulfillment of promise of payment, refund of fare paid $110 pp in advance for bus.

Review: We booked Academy bus to take us to our cruise ship on 9/21/14. The bus driver did not know how to navigate the streets in New York and we (as well as over twenty others) missed the ship. We missed three days of our cruise and had to fly out to Bermuda from Boston to meet the ship on 9/24/14. We incurred hotel, travel, and food fees in excess of 1600.00. I have sent Academy Bus all receipts in September and have not had any response at all. We now our paying interest on our credit card due to the extra expense.

Also, the bus driver on the drive home on 9/21/14 was yelling at passengers and driving erratically. I was so afraid for my safety that I texted my family that if the bus crashed, it was due to the driver's behavior. I told Academy that my husband and I did not feel safe taking the bus again on 9/28/14 after the cruise. We took a [redacted] bus instead. Academy told me I would get a full refund for both bus trip purchases and they have not refunded a dime.

It was our 30th wedding anniversary trip. When I spoke with Academy on 9/22/14, Tina Maglio was not helpful and has not responded to any of the e-mails I have sent to her.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of every penny we have had to spend due to Academy's negligence in making us miss our ship. I also want a refund of $220.00 paid to Academy by us for both trips. We are owed approximately $1,600.00 in extra expenses.

Review: My husband and I were going on a cruise to Bermuda leaving NY City on 9/21/14. The Academy Bus company which is contracted by the [redacted] Cruise Line was responsible for getting us to the port by 2:00 pm to board for a 4:00 departure from the port. It was a rather hot day and the bus air conditioner was broken. It was 98 degrees on the bus. When we reached NY city there was a rally with many road blocks. The bus could not get us to the port. He did not have any dispatcher advising him. We did not get to the port until 6:00 pm. The ship left without us. Our only choice was to return to Worcester. We were on a bus from 7:45 am to 12:30 am (the following day). We were promised a refund of $400 for each of us in addition to the cost of the bus ride $55 down to NY. [redacted], the Academy Bus rep asked us to email the airline receipts on 9/22/14 . After the trip to Bermuda, we expected to hear from Academy Bus with the turnaround time for the money. Despite several attempts to contact [redacted] (from most all of the passengers) she would not answer our calls, return our calls,or return our emails. Out of the clear blue on 10/28/14 [redacted] contacted us all to please email the airline receipts because she didn't want to"hold things up". I resent the airline receipt. It has been over 5 weeks since we were promised our refund.Desired Settlement: My husband and I would at least like what was promised to us as per our phone conversation on 9/22/14-. $910.00. At this point extra money should be offered due to interest being charged on credit cards, lack of communication, time spent trying to contact Academy, and aggravation.

Review: On Sept 21st Academy bus failed to get us to our cruise terminal in time for our cruise. We missed our cruise. We flew to Bermuda to catch the cruise ship. We paid out of pocket for both plane tickets and 2 nights of hotel, because Academy Bus promised to reimburse us $400 each (my wife and myself) for these expenses. It is over a month later and we still do not have the $400 per person or the promised $110 per person bus ride refund. We were told on many separate occasions, weeks ago that these funds were being refunded to our credit cards or mailed to us. We have received nothing. Academy bus ignores emails and phone calls regarding this issue. We no longer know what to do. We do have a document from another bus rider (there were ~ 27 of us) from Norwegian Cruise Lines that says Academy is paying $400 per person for expenses to catch the cruise. There are emails from academy to other cruise members as well. Our travel agent also had talked to them and was promised these reimbursements for us, but nothing came.Desired Settlement: $110 per person bus ride refund and $400 per person for expenses catching the cruise ship as promised

Review: Missed cruise because the Bus was late arriving at cruise terminal on 9/21/2014. We then had to fly down to [redacted] to meet the cruise ship. Purchased airline tickets with credit card. Was promised $400 each for air fair etc. ($800 total for me and my wife by [redacted] of Academy Express LLC. and have not been paid.Desired Settlement: Pay what was promised.
