Acadia Finishers

Review: [redacted] cell: [redacted] owns the 4-plex property at [redacted]. She hired Acadia Finishers to replace the basement concrete blocks in the back part of her building. The back part of the [redacted] building meets up with the back yard of the [redacted], which I, [redacted], own. Acadia Finishers, LLC used my property to attain access to the back of the [redacted] building. Their workers used the backyard as a work zone to do this project. They busted out concrete sections and stored the dirt that was removed from around the building on my lawn. Acadia Finisher's workers started the job on the [redacted] building in June 2014 . The job lasted through the end of August 2014. The workers left my property damaged. They broke up concrete slabs and destroyed large sections of the lawn. Before this project started a verbal agreement had been made with Ms. [redacted] and a signed written agreement had been made with John [redacted] of Acadia Finishers LLC that my property would be restored to its original state. It is now a year later and that still has not occurred. My backyard still remains damaged.

Phone and written contact has been made with both [redacted] the owner of the [redacted] building and John [redacted] from Acadia Finishers LLC, but neither of them have followed through and taken the steps to remedy and correct the situation.

In October 2014, after completion of Ms. [redacted]’s project workers from Acadia Finishers LLC showed up unannounced and broke up more concrete sections in my backyard creating an unsafe situation for people entering and leaving through my back door. Large dirt piles were left on my lawn from June through the end of August 2014 which destroyed sections of my lawn and made my backyard unsafe and unusable. Several bags of dry cement were dumped and stored in my backyard from November 2014 to April 2015. Acadia workers came and removed them sometime in the spring without my knowledge.

On October 2014 John [redacted] from Acadia Finishers LLC mailed me an estimate and an invoice to have my backyard repaired and restored. I had no association with this company before Ms. [redacted] hired them to do her work. I had no intention of having any concrete or landscaping work done on my property. I did not hire Acadia Finishers LLC at anytime. I allowed Acadia Finisher's employees to have access to my backyard so that they could do the work on Ms. [redacted]'s building. I trusted in good faith that any damage to my property would be fixed and that my property would be restored to the way it was before the work. That has not occurred.Desired Settlement: I want my backyard restored to its original state, as we agreed upon and was stated in written communications, to my specifications and satisfaction.

I want Acadia Finishers workers to not show up unannounced without contacting or alerting me when they are on my property. I want to be contacted and know what the workers' intentions are before they physically carry out plans without any regard for the property owner or for what had been discussed and agreed upon.

In conversations with Mr. [redacted]’s from Acadia Finishers, LLC dialogue has been argumentative and indifferent and has made me feel threatened and uncomfortable. It would actually be best and preferred if a different company, other than Acadia, complete the restoration work on my property and, the responsible parties, Acadia Finishers LLC and/ or [redacted] be billed for it.
