The circumstances surrounding our move with Accedia were uncontrolled medical issues that led to needing to change plans from our original destination eight hours away and Accedia has learned the technique of taking advantage of people in last minute moving situations.To start off was the surprise after the truck already had 3/of our belongings from the home we sold loaded in it to be informed that we would have zero access to our belongingsI paticullary stated on the phone in the first phone call with Accedia Moving that because of the sudden changes and having to push our move date up,"We will at most need to make a trip or two with our van to add certain items to storage." Nothing was said at this time informing us of not having access to our belongings or even be abe to add things to it or the unbelievable high cost of storage in which forced us to rent a second small storage locker at $50/monthWhen we were informed of this by the workers, we were told that just a few days prior to our move there was a lady that cancelled her move with Accedia at some point after they had already arrived due to improper or incomplete information, "hidden fees" etc., on the business's behalf when scheduling a moveWe did not have the luxury or capability to find, hire, and arrange another company when the last minute hidden details came out.Yes the initial check for the first move had an error on itWe received a phone call explaining that there was an error, and told we had to bring a correct check to the address of another Accedia customer's house to replace the check withUpon arriving the driver came to the drivers side car window and said the amount to make the check payable forWe knew nothing of the second check being the wrong amount and that being added to our bill until nowThis includes the conversation had with Accedia discussing the storage charge/accessability issues on the phone after our belonings were in storage alreadyDuring this conversation is when it was verified that we would not be paying any additional storage fees so long as we did not exceed one month because of raising the issue of the high storage fee.The issue of ending up with most of our beverages being drank and having to clean up after a company is disguistingYour employees may have been prepared with obiously a truck and straps etc., however it is very apparant none of the employees are happy with the companyThere was not a water cooler, and there were numerous complaints regarding the exact issues we have with themQuite obviously smoke breaks, meal breaks, etc were not deducted from our billAccedia employees informed us that with the smaller amount of belongings we had due to downsizing so much it would take them roughly mins to unload, and so, assuming that for the move from storage it took one hour to load the barely half full foot truck, in which we were told that they could not use the smaller truck that was more appropriate for the size of our moveWe met at the 5xstorage locker at roughly 10:amas can be seen handwritten on the upper right section of page Accedia sent, this is where the driver recorded their arrive timein which we received a phone call stating one of the guys showed up to work late, and agree with that arrive time however, claiming that Accedia employees worked hours would mean your guys worked until 12:am, when minusing the one hour to load the night beforeAll work was complete minus the arrpox 1/hour drive back, at 4:pmCorrect me if I am wrong however on the time table we can put together with our phone bills, gate acces recordings, and the bill, we are at roughly seven hours and eightteen minutes when using pm as a stop timeAdd in the hour to load the truck and we are at hours and minsThis is without any smoke, meal, breaks etcIn which I am sure is roughly what your [redacted] logs would represent if it is even recorded properlyAnd so Accedia is also breaking [redacted] lawsBeing that I spent a long amount of time as a transportation specialist at a number of different jobs, [redacted] law states nothing more than hours a day as a [redacted] medical card holding driver in which is required for a ft truckEven just that shows the proof that Accedia is either breaking [redacted] laws by working a driver for over the max law or as we have provided the exact timeline, they have lied and over chargedHere is what the bill should have looked like using the proof, and for easy math even after all Accedia has done I will use hours instead of hours minsminus labor laws of rains for lunchhours x $hourly rate $952Fuel for 2x the size truck needed $186.43Human error balance from 1st move $807% WV tax $85.29Grand Total $1,303.72Even adding the said $1/storage that was added to the "tax bracket" in which is a null & void receipt, as can be seen, Accedia has lied, stolen, hidden information, etcserving 1,customers annually, if they are lying and stealing roughly the same amount from each customer, that is over $885,Accedia moving needs to be held responsible for stealing on an annual basisI would highly reccomend that Accedia be audited with the mountain of laws, rules, and ethics being disregardedAs a comparison for pricing, our initial plans of relocationg hours away instead of 1/including the company driving from hours away just to load the truck and including one full month of storage was going to equal between $- max $based on weight and that includes the delivery from their climate controlled accessible stoarge to our home their after the roughly one month of storageAs can be seen from the breakdown above we are asking for the return of at minimum $1,000, this does not include the cost of us having to hire professional cleaners to remove all of the luckily cosmetic damage done to both our old home and our new homeThis included black finger prints all over the houses, a dresser that went into storage just fine and we had the movers take all the pieces to the dumpster because it was destroyedThis is only a small recount of all the stress and theft that this company put us through, on top of the average stress of moving in itselfThank you for your time to protect the general public from the theft, lies, and deception from companies I am sorry to hear you are medically disabled, Accedia services all types of clients based on different reasons for seeking serviceAt no time does Accedia discriminate due to age, nationality, or handicap status when accepting clients or applications for employmentAs the owner responding I handled each phone call placed to Accedia from beginning to endYour husband initially called seeking local moving to storage with the possibility of a move to [redacted] to be decided at a later dateI quoted your husband our hourly rate of $per hour for local moving in addition to a local fuel charge and unlimited storage at $per month not to be prorated by date of entry or exit from storage (see page 7)Your husband scheduled service for 05/21/and said service was completed the total for this day was hours x = 952+fuel+storage+tax for a total of $1,I might add a check was written this day for $1,being the correct numerical portion on the check but the hand written section being the incorrect amount [redacted] one of our crew leaders called your husband and returned this check and picked up another check that again was mistakenly written for the wrong amount numerically and in the hand written sectionThe amount of the second check was $1,Upon [redacted] return to the office I just decided to let you pay the difference on delivery when you exited storage as opposed to a second trip and a 3rd check Indeed your husband did call a few weeks later announcing to me he had found a rental story condo in a gated community in [redacted] ** and would not be considering a long distance move to [redacted] do to health concerns with a family memberAgain the same fees were quoted $per hour in addition to fuel and storage to dateAt no point whatsoever did I refuse to state a price over the phone nor when our crew arrived to provide service as it is clearly listed in our service agreement that is fully initialed and signed before service began Additionally clients are free to use any storage facility of their choice and when doing so keep their own private key to their storage locker and come and go at willYour husband chose to use Accedia’s climate controlled warehouse which no private individuals and non-employees may not have access to do to insurance reasons and securityAlthough it may be very rare but a client may pick up their cargo or another company but cargo would have to be loaded from the warehouse and into a company truck so therefore it is out of a private warehouse insured for access by only Accedia staff Accedia staffs are compensated by the hour in addition to other company perksThank you for offering staff drinks and use of your restroom during moving, in an instance where a client does not wish the rest room to be used staff will travel to the nearest public facilityAny restroom, smoke, or meal breaks were deducted from your billable time as it states in Accedia’s service agreementClients are allowed to help carry items from the rear of our trucks to reduce billable time so long as they refrain from entering the moving truck Please allow me to break down your final bill for local moving (local moving is defined as within a hour radius of P [redacted] )Your second move or phase out of storage consisted of loading a foot truck, driving to [redacted] where you had another private storage locker, loading said unit, traveling to the [redacted] ** vicinity, unloading into a story condominium, and return travel time for a total of hours X $per hour+ fuel+(storage reduced by 50% upon my authorization)+amount due from first billing deficiet+tax for a total of $2,which was paid in full and initialed and signed in full [redacted] I hope this helps give a very concise break down of billing as I only had the pleasure of speaking with your husbandYour bill is 100% accurate and was reduced by $by me to get our crew settled up with you for the day and try to continue a good relationshipI consider Accedia to be the elite moving choice out of movers that service the MOVAccedia has operated for years in the MOV servicing over 1,clients annuallyAccedia is the # price leader meeting or beating our competitors rates by the hour in the MOV (I might add the competition is approx$per hour more expensive at the time of your service)I cannot predict the type of service you would have received if you had chosen a competitor but I certainly can assure you it would have been more expensive In closing a tip for future moving that will save you a considerable amount of money would be to try to coordinate your move so as you are able to be loaded from one home and directly delivered to your new destinationThis will save you a considerable amount of time loading and reloading a truck and storage feesEssentially going into storage is similar to moving twice and adding storage fees into the scenarioI hope this makes your concerns more clear in addition to the pictures attachedIn the future if you do decide to relocate to [redacted] Accedia offers a repeat client discount as a token of our appreciationSincerely: [redacted] (Owner/Operator)

I am sorry you are having difficulty understanding the initial responsePlease allow me to clarify a few points that may be the source of your confusionI will try not to be rhetorical as most concerns are addressed in your initial response belowFirst you have in no way shape or form been taken advantage of, again I am sorry that your family is experiencing health issues which does not allow you to currently relocate to the ***Please refer to my initial response concerning storage access it is extremely clearI might add I am quite aware that you at some point accumulated additional cargo as when your husband called in to arrange delivery to the *** area he stated there was an additional storage unit to stop at before going to *** There are no “hidden fees” as you so kindly mention in your letterLocal moving within approxa hour radius is pretty simpleClients are charged by the hour in addition to fuelIn your case storage was chosen by your husband at $per month not to be pro-rated by date of entry or exitPlease refer to the dates on both of your service agreementsYour storage total was $of which I authorized my staff to reduce the second month by 50% to try to maintain good will and also get my crew back on the road and not squabbling over a clearly itemized bill (As a business owner as these men set there trying to settle a bill your billable time has stopped, unfortunately the time I must pay your crew has not)I believe we have addressed the improperly issued check, thank you for correcting the matter and paying the correct balance dueThank you for offering your movers beverages many clients do and I am sure your movers appreciated that. You mention coolers yes coolers are available to our movers although most do not utilize them and I certainly do not pack coolers and lunches for my staff as they are grown menRead term yes your crew leader deducted any and all breaks in addition all movers are allowed to take up to a hour lunch break but again very few doI will quickly and easily break down your move to *** as opposed to ***Number one your cargo was loaded the night before your relocation to ***Your load time was 4-hours to blanket and properly secure your load, your round trip drive time from storage to your storage in *** *** and to the *** area and back to our location in *** was 4-hours, then loading in *** *** at your storage unit and unloading in to a story town house was approximately hours. Being a transportation specialist I am sure you may have been concerned about hours of operationWith years’ experience I am well aware of service hours and down time required but thank you for your concernI am glad I was able to clarify this for you, as Accedia is in compliance with state and Federal lawI must say I do not appreciate the slanderous accusations concerning revenue and how you feel it was obtained in a dishonest manner or quite bluntly “stealing” to quote youAs already mentioned in my initial response I will reiterate again when you move from a house into storage and then from storage to another location be it local or long distance you are essentially doubling the amount of work time required and adding the expense of storageAccedia does not charge by the pound as in my opinion this is a very unclear way to charge a client and allows for major discrepancies in priceBut we are not comparing moving company price structures; your husband chose Accedia and service by the hourLastly to address some finger prints? Accedia does offer a premier service called “White Glove” which entails covering floors with adhesive floor cover, encapsulating all cargo in shrink wrap, wall padding and corner bumpersThis is the *** of moving so to say but very time consuming and expensiveI am also aware of your dresser please refer to term concerning particle boardLastly I nor company council are inclined to pursue the slanderous matter within your letter as it has not been made available to the general public but I am certainly offended and unsettledIn the future if you are in a position to please move from point A to B as it will save you a great deal of money and additional stressBest wishes for the difficult medical times your family is enduringMay the future hold only the best for you

I have moved locally several times using Accedia the last 3 moves. The owner is active in his business and hands on which I find refreshing. The workers are friendly and have always made my moves a pleasant experience. Accedia has earned my business for any future moves. These guys are just super and go above and beyond

All work was complete minus the arrpox 1 1/2 hour drive back, at 4:15 pm. Correct me if I am wrong however on the time table we can put together with our phone bills, gate acces recordings, and the bill, we are at roughly seven hours and eightteen minutes when using 6 pm as a stop time. Add in the hour to load the truck and we are at 8 hours and 18 mins. This is without any smoke, meal, breaks etc. In which I am sure is roughly what your [redacted] logs would represent if it is even recorded properly. And so Accedia is also breaking [redacted] laws. Being that I spent a long amount of time as a transportation specialist at a number of different jobs, [redacted] law states nothing more than 11 hours a day as a [redacted] medical card holding driver in which is required for a 38 ft truck. Even just that shows the proof that Accedia is either breaking [redacted] laws by working a driver for over the 11 max law or as we have provided the exact timeline, they have lied and over charged. Here is what the bill should have looked like using the proof, and for easy math even after all Accedia has done I will use 8.5 hours instead of 8 hours 18 mins. minus labor laws of 30 rains for lunch.8 hours x $119.00 hourly rate $952Fuel for 2x the size truck needed $186.43Human error balance from 1st move $807% WV tax $85.29Grand Total $1,303.72Even adding the said $245 1/2 storage that was added to the "tax bracket" in which is a null & void receipt, as can be seen, Accedia has lied, stolen, hidden information, etc. serving 1,000 customers annually, if they are lying and stealing roughly the same amount from each customer, that is over $885,000 Accedia moving needs to be held responsible for stealing on an annual basis. As a comparison for pricing, our initial plans of relocationg 8 hours away instead of 1 1/2 including the company driving from 8 hours away just to load the truck and including one full month of storage was going to equal between $3250 - max $3500 based on weight and that includes the delivery from their climate controlled accessible stoarge to our home their after the roughly one month of storage. As can be seen from the breakdown above we are asking for the return of at minimum $1,000, this does not include the cost of us having to hire professional cleaners to remove all of the luckily cosmetic damage done to both our old home and our new home. This included black finger prints all over the houses, a dresser that went into storage just fine and we had the movers take all the pieces to the dumpster because it was destroyed. I handled each phone call placed to Accedia from beginning to end. Your husband initially called seeking local moving to storage with the possibility of a move to [redacted] to be decided at a later date. I quoted your husband our hourly rate of $119.00 per hour for local moving in addition to a local fuel charge and unlimited storage at $490.00 per month not to be prorated by date of entry or exit from storage (see page 7). Your husband scheduled service for 05/21/17 and said service was completed the total for this day was 8 hours x 119 = 952+28 fuel+490 storage+110.25 tax for a total of $1,580.25 I might add a check was written this day for $1,080.25 being the correct numerical portion on the check but the hand written section being the incorrect amount. [redacted] one of our crew leaders called your husband and returned this check and picked up another check that again was mistakenly written for the wrong amount numerically and in the hand written section. The amount of the second check was $1,508.25. I consider Accedia to be the elite moving choice out of 3 movers that service the MOV. Accedia has operated for 21 years in the MOV servicing over 1,000 clients annually. Accedia is the #1  price leader meeting or beating our competitors rates by the hour in the MOV (I might add the competition is approx. $17.00 per hour more expensive at the time of your service). I cannot predict the type of service you would have received if you had chosen a competitor but I certainly can assure you it would have been more expensive.    In closing a tip for future moving that will save you a considerable amount of money would be to try to coordinate your move so as you are able to be loaded from one home and directly delivered to your new destination. This will save you a considerable amount of time loading and reloading a truck and storage fees. Essentially going into storage is similar to moving twice and adding storage fees into the scenario.
