In response to complaint received 10/12/15, an insurance card for [redacted] was presented at the time of service. When asked if we accept this insurance, the correct response of "yes" was given.  Although, we do accept [redacted] this particular policy was for hospital only.  Although,...

we do verify that the insurance is active, we are unable to verify the specific limits of coverage- in this case was hospital only.  It is the member's responsibility to know the limits of their own coverage.  In response to the assertion that when a call was placed to inquire about the charge, they were "aggressively yelled at by the woman who answered the phone" ; it is our policy to treat all of our patients with respect. We consistently receive high marks form our patients for excellent customer service.  We are sorry if we did not meet your expectations.  If the complainant would like to supply the name or date of the representative she spoke with, we would be happy to investigate this alleged incident.  We recognize that understanding your insurance coverage can be complex and confusing.
