Accelerated Services, Inc. Reviews (1)

Review: This company was recommended to me by one of my vendors.I called them in June 2013 to check my restaurant's A/C units and make sure they were in good condition for the summer. They sent a worker who came, went up on the roof, took a look and came back down with a diagnosis. We scheduled him to come the next day and take care of everything he considered necessary. He performed the job and billed us for it.This past weekend (7/**/13) one of the units stopped working and we called Accelerated, we were told they were very busy and could not accomodate us until Monday. We went ahead and scheduled an appointment, however, hoping that we could solve the problem sooner, we called another company who over the weekend came and took a look at our units, in their diagnosis, they found a number of problems including that the units need to be thouroughly cleaned. When Accelerated showed up on Monday, we told them about the other company's opinion on the units they had checked and tuned up no more than a month ago and their response was the following (worker's name is [redacted]):"After taking a look at your units, my boss [redacted] decided he doesn't want to deal with you anymore, besides we don't really do restaurants or work so far away from our headquaters"There's so many wrongs with this answer, but mainly two things:1. They had already worked on our units and failed to provide the guarantee a company offers to their customers.2. Their website clearly states the following: "Accelerated Services, Inc. services thousands of customers throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties on Long Island. Our clients range from large corporate accounts with multiple locations, managers of data centers, supermarkets, retail stores and office buildings. All of our clients are treated with the same superior service regardless of the number of units they have."This is completely innacceptable and I demand this company give me refund for the work they performed in June.Desired Settlement: Refund for the work they performed as they claim to be experts on A/C units and they're obviously not since after taking a second look at it, their boss [redacted], prefered to just walk away instead of delivering the guarantee and honesty a good business should always offer.

Response:

5/**/13-Accelerated looked at the site and found the evaporator coils dirty and the units in poor condition, the clean air filters were full of dirt. Our Tech, told the customer that the coils needed to be cleaned and [redacted] said for us to clean the evaporator coils and supply her with filters.

6/**/13-Accelerated went back to the site and cleaned the evaporator coils, changed air filters, left spare filters with [redacted] and was told by [redacted] that she was going to send payment-(We still have not received this payment)

7/**/13- The customer claims that the unit (1 unit) was not working properly and that she wanted it fixed for free because it was a warranty issue. We told her we could come and take a look at it on 7/**/13

7/**/13-Tech went to the building and was given a copy of a service ticket from another company that looked at the equipment, [redacted] said she was told by our company that she would not have any problems for the summer and wanted to units fixed for free. [redacted] said that our tech told her that we did not want to work in Nassau County and or take care of Restaurants. We do work in Nassau county and Restaurants on a regular basis. If we didn't work in Nassau then why were we there to begin with!

7/**/13- Tech returned to the job to recheck the system for [redacted] and found 1 bad thermostat and missing service caps.

The existing units are approximatley20 years old, the existing units were neglected for many years. Accelerated cleaned the evaporator coils and replaced air filters and was not paid for the work. Accelerated was called for service 7/**/13 during the heat wave.

Accelerated Services did not send the customer to collections even though she neglected to pay her bill on time (service performed 6/**/13 and was supposed to be paid in 30 days.

The customer should purchase a service contract and have regular maintenance done on her equipment to aid in having a comfortable environment for her customers and to potentially minimize breakdowns. The customer does not understand that HVAC units can sometimes fail and or need repairs, not all failures are the result of the company that was there last.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I do not understand why Accelerated keeps denying the response from their tech [redacted] when he was sent over to my restaurant. Instead of owing up to the statements [redacted] made, now they've decided to insinuate I'm lying.

Last week, I spoke to [redacted] (another one of their employees) and she agreed that it's outrageous that I'm expected to pay in full for the service on 6/**/13. I told her I'm willing to pay for the filters and the labor which equals $451.41 plus tax, since the rest of the work did not meet my expectations and it has nothing to do with my AC units being old. However, today I just spoke to the receptionist who told me that [redacted] is no longer with them and she denies that [redacted] ever agreed or accepted Accelerated's fault. She also threatened me in a defiant way that she would send our account to collections.

I hired Accelerated services on 6.**.13 to do a full inspection and tune up of my units so that they could be in good shape for the summer and they failed to deliver. I have a diagnostic report from another company that came the weekend my AC units collapsed and they wrote down everything that was wrong with my units. In it, they state for example that the belts needed to be changed as well as the system needed to be cleaned. Those were things, amongst others, Accelerated needed to have taken care of on 6.**.13 and they didn't. When I showed this report to [redacted] another one of their techs when he came on Wednesday, 7.**.13 he stated that they were lying and they just wanted to run a scam on me. I'm left to wonder who's really they one running a scam here.

On Wednesday, 7.**.13 [redacted] from Accelerated came after I voiced my complaint with his boss [redacted] and apologized for any misunderstanding, offered to go up on the roof and check thoroughly the units and fix anything that needed fixing, he also suggested for us to change one of the thermostats, which we did, he then assured us that the units would work without any problems and actually has been the only one representing this company who seems truly worried about our satisfaction as clients. After he was done that day, we immediately paid with a check the entire bill.

I think that we have more than proven our good faith as a client of Accelerated, even though they've treated us with disrespect, disregard and complete negligence, aside from [redacted] who seems to be the only who cares about not loosing a client and more importantly Accelerated's reputation.

Like I stated in the beginning of my response, we will be mailing a check in the amount of $451.41. So far we have paid this company (including this check) over $1,200 to date. The first time they came to look at the units, they charged me over $200 for just diagnosing the problem, the bill for Wed 7.**.13 which totaled over $500 and the $451.41 (filters and labor 6.**.13) which was the only thing not mentioned in the report from the other company.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Business
