Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/05/04) */ I was told she was going to come and pick up the vehicle on Saturday, April 25, and the car was completed on April 23rdI did give them a 50% off because the boyfriend works for one of my suppliersThe boyfriend came in and wanted to give me a down payment of $100, but I did not take the partial down, because the total price was $I told him if the car is not getting picked up, then it would be $a day storage feeThey only were billed $instead of $for storage and they only paid $We worked with this customer and gave them a good deal on the repairsThey were made aware of the $a day storage feeI have the storage fee posted on the front desk and visible to all customers

Customer came in for a tuand asked what all that entailed We replaced the spark plugs and boots He picked up the car and said that it was running rough We showed him all of the new parts which we installed on the car It was when we inspected the car that we discovered that he needed new coils which we informed him He said that he had done that on his own but it was the wrong one He was upset that we did not replace all of the coils at no charge We did perform all the services which was agreed to in the service order

This car was here at the end of JanuaryWe worked on the radiatorWe worked on the thermostatShe went to someone else who pulled out the thermostat we installed and put another one inThen the head gasket went, this was in FebruaryWe didn't hear from her for monthsThen, a few weeks ago, she brought back the plugs that we supposedly installed, they were covered in siliconeWe don't treat any plugs with siliconeIt was clear someone else worked on the carWe told her she needs to bring the car in so we can see what's going on with itShe agreed, said she'd be backShe never came back or called usObviously, someone else has been working on it and we can't warranty someone else's workWe're not responsible for this issue; it drove for months after we worked on it

Mr [redacted] came in for a front wheel alignment When we finished, the inner tie rods fell off The inner tie rods had not been installed properly and that is why they came off I offered to fix the tie rods for our fees and he refused He asked us to back out the car I charged him $for the inspection which is not the charge for a wheel alignment We were not responsible for the inner tie rods falling off

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: They have lied about response I have all my paperwork showing all the work done and was never told about converters until I took to Car X and I have papers from them who I then in turn told this company what Car X reported and I have all the paperwork and estimates from them I had other work done by [redacted] transmission which was not an issue So no I am rejecting this so called lie and explanation I will upload all the documentation to the web site Sincerely, [redacted] ***

The customer was aware that the repair was a starting repair and there may be more problemsIt did fix part of the issue but she has other issues, to rectify which I recommended they see the dealerThe customer was aware from the beginningWe did exactly what we said we were going to doWe don't
feel we should refund any money because the parts we replaced were definitely bad

It has been over a year ago since we did this jobI can not warranty for these parts since he brought in his own partsEven if I did we only have a year warranty on partsI can not put a warranty on parts I did not supply

needed coil, spark plugs, and spark plug wires. she returned a few days later and had us install turn signal flasher. We advised about a tune up again. We welded her exhaust pipe which had a leak. We installed a light bulb a few days later. We discovered at that time that her catalytic converter was plugged up. This is what was causing the low power issues. We fixed everything we could from what she wanted to do. This was not a part of the repairs. She came in a couple more times and confirmed she needed the converters. We cut the exhaust and verified this was the issue, but we cannot leave it like that because it was too loud. I guess this is when she contacted you.
