Access Funding Reviews (6)

Review: Over the past 12-16 months Access Funding has continued to market and send advertisements to me which consist of fake checks to get me to call them to do business. Over that time period I called them directly on 6 separate occasions to ask them to stop sending me these phony checks in the mail as I don't want to do business with them and don't want these phony checks to fall into the wrong hands. Each time I called I was told they would stop within 2-3 weeks, but they have not, they continue to market me and they have even come to my home attempting to contact me at home unannounced and unwanted. These unwanted marketing pieces and visits need to stop immediately.Desired Settlement: Stop sending me phony checks in the mail, do not come by my home again, I want to be left alone and put on their permanent do not contact list.

Review: Following receiving multiple letters per month, I tried to be removed from mailing lists and even contacted via email but have continued to receive letters and offersDesired Settlement: I would like to no longer receive an mails/call/emails

The company has responded that your complaint has been resolved and they have contacted you and provided the remedy sought.

Review: Access Funding sent me several mailings where there were checks for $50 with the written explanation above that said "Get $50 just for calling in and listening to what we have to offer - no other strings attached." I have called in four times. Twice they hung up on me without activating the checks, and twice they promised me the $50 but it has never arrived. The check number is [redacted] and on the memo line it says $50 Gift Check. The other information on the mailing says "*Remember - the two enclosed checks are real so keep them in a safe place. " When I called, they told me they weren't real and they would send me a gift card and they never did.Desired Settlement: They promised to activate the checks in writing so I expect them to honor that.

Response:

Access Funding generally requires annuitants to provide written confirmation that they are receiving a qualified structured settlement. Since 8/4, when [redacted] originally contacted Access Funding, we have confirmed that she is receiving payments through other methods. A new $50 check is on the way.

Review: Company sends me mail weekly, offered a free $50 check "just to see what we have to offer." So I called and asked what they had to offer for my settlement. The guy on the phone tells me, I do not qualify for a check, but the only requirement is that I call them and see what their offer is.Desired Settlement: I would like them to honor the advertising they send out, I would like a $50 check for the phone call I gave them to see what they had to offer.

Response:

In order to activate the $50 payment verification checks, the customer needs to be receiving qualified, assignable payments from an insurance company. [redacted] was not able to provide us with any documentation from the insurance company, but he verbally told us that he is scheduled to receive a small lump sum in roughly 15 years. The representative told [redacted] that his payment was too small and too far out in the future in order to make an offer. If there is no offer to be made, we cannot activate the $50 check. [redacted] has been removed from the mailing list and we will not be contacting him in the future.

Review: Spoke with a representative from this company and asked that they do contact me by phone or mail anymore, the representative then said "what if I call you on Saturday?"Desired Settlement: I feel the company should not harass people like this, it is very unavoidable and poor business practice. Please fix this problem.

Response:

I spoke with [redacted] on 5/30/14 and apologized on behalf of Access Funding. [redacted] accepted our apology and we will not be contacted again.

Review: I receive calls from this company all times of the day and have asked for my information to be removed from thier call list. This has been going on for over 2 years now and I am done with the rude sales people on the phone thinking I dont know what I am talking about and refusing to remove my number from thier call list

Business

Response:

[redacted] –

Here is our response.

“In the event that a customer asks to be removed from our calling list, we immediately comply and [redacted] the record as “Do Not Call” in our database. Our records show that [redacted] was called on 2/27/14 and she asked to not be contacted again. [redacted] has not been contacted since her request and will not be contacted again.”

Please let me know if you need anything else to resolve the issue.
