I purchased an Independent Home walk-in bathtub from Therap-Ease (I was asked to make the check payable to All Mobility Aids.) When we attempted to install it the local plumbing inspector told our plumber that it couldnt be installed because it wasnt on the list of products approved by the Massachusetts Plumbing Board:(http://license.reg.state.ma.us/pubLic/pl_products/pb_pre_form.asp)I have been seeking a resolution, or at least a definite timeframe for a resolution, from the owner of Therap-Ease/All Mobility Aids since 8 Feb. The putative manufacturer has provided other documentation (IAPMO and UL certification) and a Mass. approval number for a product made by a different company (MTI Whirlpools) but these were not satisfactory to the plumbing inspector.Apparently there is a 3rd company involved which actually makes the product in question, I have requested documentation on this as a way to resolve this issue but it has not been forthcoming.I contacted the owner of Therap-Ease/All Mobilty Aids on 28 February asking for a resolution by a definite date or a refund. He informed me a that Independent Home would charge him shipping costs and a restocking fee, and he didnt have enough money in his account to pay me back! He has promised me that the 3rd company is seeking to get this certification, but he is unable to give me any timetable and has stopped returning my calls or answering my emails.
