The customer called us requesting a price quote for 6 passengers from Crown Point, Indiana to Chicago Midway Airport. The distance from the customer's home to the airport is approx. 43 miles. Our charges to Midway Airport ranges from [redacted] to [redacted]...

each way. We charged the customer [redacted] for 6 people EACH way. Unfortunately, the customer misunderstood our quote and believed the fare to be [redacted] round trip. Based on standard industry practice, such a fare would cost [redacted] Being a fairly new business, and as a good gesture, we gave the customer a discount. There are several taxi companies in the area that can verify the pricing to the airport. It is very unfair and unreasonable to believe that such a long trip going back and forth to the airport would cost only [redacted] dollars. No other taxi company would charge such a meagre amount. We sent the driver to drop a note for the customer after several unreturned calls to inform her of the mistake. Upon arrival at the customer's home, her sister answered the door. The driver never harassed the customer. He showed her the note and she gave him [redacted] and asked him to keep the change. So, the client initially paid [redacted] which included a tip and then another [redacted] so a total of [redacted] We do not require customers to tip our driver. We appreciate the gesture but it is not a requirement. The total amount rightfully due to us should have been [redacted] each way so a total of [redacted] We are happy to refund the difference between our fare and amount paid which is [redacted] less [redacted] which is [redacted] We are an honest company. We have not received any complaints from our customers and we strive to provide excellent services to our customers. Our driver was on time to transport the customers to the airport and was also at Midway Airport an hour before the customers arrived. He stated that they were very happy with the service. There was a simple miscommunication which can be resolved by refunding the tip of [redacted]
