I am rejecting this response because: first, the roof was years old don't care what he thought of the tarpaper not what we agreed on we agreed on new materials synthetic underlayment ,only reason he gave discount so he did not have to tear off shingles on the one side of house he had already shingledThe only reason the weather is pealing the shingles is because it was not nailed down properly he would know that if he had actually came out and looked WHICH HE DID NOTGuess it is easier to make excuses than honor his warrantylet me tell you this will never be dropped by me till he remedys the problem

House was new, underlayment new which is why they got a $discount, until they agreed to 1/2, they were very happy with the work until the stranger knocked on their door, had much trouble getting paid even with the excellent work (as admitted by them)As Customer stated this was caused by Mother Nature, bad weather, NO ONE warranties bad weather A tornado could ripp off half their roof n they would insist on my replacing it, no on guaranteed unusual weather

I am rejecting this response because :I had hoped there was a resolution with Mr *** over this issueLet me clarify some issuesNobody tampered with this roof, the damage was caused by wind and not being nailed down properly as stated beforeShould have known I was dealing with an unscrupulous contractorDuring the roofing job he tried to get by not putting new synthetic underlayment as was agreed to in the contract, my wife came home from work and stopped them after part of the roof was on and made them put the new underlayment onMr *** didn't bother to tell us till my wife stopped the roofing jobWhen questioned he said the tarpaper was still good, not what we agreed on, he even saw my wife numerous times that day where she worked and never said a thingI guess he thought he could get away with not putting on new material, but he got caught [shows his character]His contract says year workmanship warranty there are no exclusions on the contractA legitimate contractor would fix a weather related problemMy only hope is that this complaint remains permanently on his record to prevent someone else being taken advantage ofI see my only recourse if the problem gets worse is let the courts take care of itIf I could get my dollars back I would

Mr. [redacted] claimed that shingles flew off on a day that wasn't windy, a complete stranger apparently saw shingles flapping on the back of his home while driving by, l can attest to the fact that it is not feasible, you can not view the back from the road, and it wasn't windy that day but that's...

what Mr. [redacted] told me that the VERY kind (He said that more than once) man told him n he was just being very nice to ck his roof, no ulterior motive. No wind, but shingles blew off that day, no wind but he saw shingles flapping from the road, not plausible. My concern is that may have sabotage my work,  n looked to curry favor with the [redacted] for possible future repairs. Repairs that may cost thousands if my concerns prove correct. Also l use the highest quality materials, Timberline dimensional shingles have a wind resistance of up to 130 miles per hour. NO shingles were flapping that day sir, I'd bet the farm, even though I don't have one. Sold my acreage a couple of years ago.

The whole problem started because some shingles were not nailed down properly, how many more areas where done like that, again HE NEVER BOTHERED TO INSPECT THE PROBLEM. The man that saw the problem and brought it to my attention did not damage the roof only told there was an issue needed to be addressed by Mr [redacted]. JUST NEEDS TO FIX PROBLEM.
