Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Meineke has made my point 'In Fact', "I suppose if we would have quoted a wheel brake replacement for almost double the initial cost, Mr [redacted] would have filed a complaint for trying to sell him front brakes that have plenty of life left, which would have lead to Mr [redacted] complaining to the Revdex.com about an inaccurate assumption that we were trying to sell service that didn't need to be done." It's not Meineke's job to try and discern what they can sellMeineke's task was to arrest the squealing in my brakes, which they did notThis isn't hard to understandI complained about brake noiseAfter their inspection, Meineke forwarded a prescribed fix, WHICH DID NOT WORKWe now get all manner of sarcasm and double speak to cover either their gross problem in service delivery or their shady business practices. If they had quoted a whee brake job and I declined it, we wouldn't be hereI asked to have the brake noise arrestedThat did not not happen. And lets not forget, Schylor rode with me and personally heard the noiseMeineke is either the personification of every sterotype of car mechanic's or they'll make this right and arrest the noise in my brakes Regards, [redacted] ***

Please find work order attached Mr [redacted] was given the option of replacing the failed components with brand new dealership (OEM) purchased parts, but declined this option due to price We worked very hard to find a used option to help our customer get his window up and working again As noted on the ticket, unfortunately the used part came with no warranty We apologized but unfortunately the entire job does need to be done again and parts need to be purchased again Please call me if you need any more information, or if I can do anything to help Scott - (317) 496-

As stated previously, we did do a wheel brake inspection and we did note that the front brake system checked out safe The only reason we didn't have an answer for Mr [redacted] during the first two (and a half) visits is because the vehicle didn't make any noises After Mr [redacted] called on the third visit we drove it again (for the 3rd time THAT day) and we were finally able to get the noise to happen...and we heard it in the frontI suppose if we would have quoted a wheel brake replacement for almost double the initial cost, Mr [redacted] would have filed a complaint for trying to sell him front brakes that have plenty of life left, which would have lead to Mr [redacted] complaining to the Revdex.com about an inaccurate assumption that we were trying to sell service that didn't need to be done. The Meineke Shop at North Keystone has been in a neighborhood shop for over years, and has taken excellent care of the area residents I believe that Mr [redacted] would find that we consistently perform accurate diagnosis and help our customers maintain the vehicles at a fair price Part of that process is that at Meineke we won't quote brakes that are not unsafe if they have lots of life left in the event that other brakes on the car are obviously failed and unsafe (as was the case with Mr***'s car) The good news is that Mr [redacted] has a warranty on the work that we did do, and if he would like for us to help him with the front brakes we would be happy to help him with that As stated before, he has the quote. In response to Mr***'s accusation of unfair charging tactics, I assure you, this shop is filled with integrity, and I would be happy to let you analyze our 'charging practices' which are nothing short of clear, concise, estimates of what people need to get their cars fixed

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. There was no special pricing offered? I was quoted a priceThere was benefit for my military service but nothing for acknowledgement of Meineke not fixing the problemMeineke is great at giving themselves credit for everything except why I pulled into their business entered into a relationship with themTo fix the my squeaking brakes Regards, [redacted] ***

We worked very hard to help Mr*** The right rear brake caliper had seized and was causing issues in the rear brake system The front brakes looked like they had just been replaced by a different mechanic (I believe car is new to the customer) and they are completely safe The
noise Mr*** is hearing, only under certain heat and pressure situations, is coming from the front and is due to either a cheap brake pad material or poor lubrication, as well as glazed and brake rotors As the front brakes looked like they had been replaced recently, and they were safe, we didn't feel the need to quote the front brake job as the concern was clearly from the failed and un-safe components in the rear After repair, customers vehicles brake system is completely safe, and the test drive didn't produce a single noise We have supplied Mr*** with a quote to replace the front brake components that are causing a squeak under some circumstances, only because of the annoyance of the squeak, but we have also informed Mr*** that more important than the front brakes, the other items quoted (tie rod bushings and alignment) are a safety issue, and should be done first

It's not Meineke's job to try and discern what they can sell. Meineke's task was to arrest the squealing in my brakes, which they did not. This isn't hard to understand. I complained about brake noise. After their inspection, Meineke forwarded a prescribed fix, WHICH DID NOT WORK. We now get all manner of sarcasm and double speak to cover either their gross problem in service delivery or their shady business practices. If they had quoted a 4 whee brake job and I declined it, we wouldn't be here. I asked to have the brake noise arrested. Regards,
[redacted]I do not accept the businesses decision. Please excuse in advance the use of common language, but it's literally amazing, that until I called the manager and told him I had, had enough of the crap. 3 return visits, one in which the manager rode with me and literally heard the noise. It is amazing that by the time (approx. 1 hour), that it took me to go and retrieve my car, the finally the had the proper diagnosis. If Meineke is so certain in their diagnosis process, than provide the work at their expense. It's called a four wheel brake inspection. Why not give the consumer/me all the information? I submit that Meineke missed or didn't care about the real problem and is using a systematic method to up sell/over service customers/over charge customers. I believe any analysis of their charging practices would revel my accusations.

Please find work order attached.  Mr. [redacted] was given the option of replacing the failed components with brand new dealership (OEM) purchased parts, but declined this option due to price.  We worked very hard to find a used option to help our customer get his window up and working again....

As noted on the ticket, unfortunately the used part came with no warranty.  We apologized but unfortunately the entire job does need to be done again and parts need to be purchased again.  Please call me if you need any more information, or if I can do anything to help.  Scott - (317) 496-7552

Again, we apologize that this situation came up.  We did remedy an unsafe situation of some obviously failed components and we did spend a lot of time to finally find a squeak from a brake job done by a different shop (even though it's safe, it's cheaper material and it can make noise under some driving conditions).  Meineke's stance on this issue has not changed, but we will continue the warranty on the work we did do and we will continue to offer the special pricing on replacing the front components for the customer.  Thank you for your time.

Let me start by saying I am very sorry for all of the issues going on.  We contacted [redacted] last week (as soon as we heard about the issue) and offered to help.  [redacted] said he had an issues two weeks prior and finally called us about it.  We offered to help but needed the vehicle.  He...

said ok I'll call you back.  We haven't heard from him until this post!  Anyway, if [redacted] would like to bring the Kia in, I will be happy to help!  Please call me with questions, I am very willing to be helpful and giving but I just would like to see the vehicle myself before making any decisions, which not only do I believe is fair, but is also the way the contract of our invoice works.  Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience and I do want to help.  Scott (317) 496-7552

the offer does not stand well with me , with my past experiences, I don't feel comfortable nor do I have the time to take off work AGAIN to find my self in the same position that I once was with the run around and poor results. I would appreciate the refund I've requested, for the time lost and the inconvenience that my family endured during this process. I had to pay for parts they broke while repairing my vehicle, which is totally unacceptable. These are suppose to be professionals, and I understand the space for humane error, but I experienced too many errors on one trip; and due to their negligence my family and I are the ones who had to suffer, and take a lose.  All I want is a refund, disregard the new transmission, I've already had to purchase a new vehicle due to their mistakes.
