To whom it may concern, First of all thank you for acknowledging the fact that Accord Plumbing and Heating did indeed perform work at [redacted] Where do we begin in response to Accord Plumbing's letter? The date the photos I sent were taken on second day that they started working on our home which was September 24th 2015. At that time we needed plumbing and heating done first. They made no mention of concern over starting the job and were quick to take payment as the check stubs show. Mark and David highly recommended Greg B[redacted] to come in and help us with the windows, doors, flooring, and walls. We hired Mr. B[redacted] in late October (a licensed contractor). If we wanted to avoid submitting permits, we could have hired a non- licensed person from the beginning. In early November Mr. B[redacted] that gave us a date of Thanksgiving. We NEVER gave any one a deadline of Thanksgiving (I can provide all invoice and check receipts, we did save everything!). As far as Accord giving us the run around this had already started. There were days when Greg B[redacted] was held up by the plumbers not being there, or maybe it was an excuse because he was charging us by the hour. After Thanksgiving passed and progress was slow we did in fact let Mr. B[redacted] go. Only at that time did we have Samuel help us finish. As for the electrical we did have a licensed electrician do all the work with permits, which the records at the city will show. I can attach pictures which will show the cuts Accord made to our hand-made cabinets under the sink. This is a special heavy farmer's style sink that needed extra support because of the weight. The way the cuts for the garbage disposer and the water lines were made, we did not want the front of the cabinets to look like underneath the sink. Since we are getting into this I might as well mention the baseboard heaters throughout the rest of the home. I will attach photos of the rest of the cuts and water lines. Most of the water lines are so far off that the end caps cannot even be put on correctly. When the heater in dining room stopped working I called another plumber to come and fix it because David did not answer and did not respond to my phone calls. The heater in the kid's room has worked all along. They never returned to finish the job in that room. The front trim panel was never cut to size, they left it exposed. The same plumber that fixed the dining room heater finished that for us also. The sump pump was never part of the contract because we were told by Mark and David that we needed it due to the drainage slope. We agreed to this and I paid them to install one. Their original quote was for 16,500.00 Final total paid to Accord Plumbing was $22000.00. Recently we had a driveway from a licensed contractor done. When dirt was removed water started to surface when laundry was being washed. Upon further investigation we realized that we have gone two years with a sump pump that was never plugged in and the cover never screwed down properly. The contractor also told us the breather was also done incorrectly.

Accord Plumbing [redacted] September 26, 2017 Response to Revdex.com Complaint: Repair Issues / Sump Pump [redacted] ###-###-#### [redacted]  To Whom It May Concern: Customer service is the very essence of our work. We preform jobs to highest of expectations. We are disappointed that this complaint had to go to the Revdex.com. Please note that this complaint came to us August 19th, 2017. Yet the complaint was made January 30th, 2016. Our apologies for not replying sooner. Accord Plumbing referred Mr. [redacted] to a licensed Contractor by the name of Greg B[redacted]. This referral was made because Accord Plumbing wanted to make sure the necessary steps were taken in pulling the required permits. Mr. [redacted] did not want to pull permits because he had a deadline of Thanksgiving to move in and he wanted to avoid any extra costs. Mr. [redacted] hired then fired Greg B[redacted] after the Contractor insisted that required permits be pulled. Mr. [redacted] also did not want to pay the wages of a Contractor. Mr. [redacted] then hired an unlicensed person by the name of Samuel to do the work. [redacted] awarded Accord Plumbing do the plumbing for the remodel on June 15th, 2017 but did not start the job until late August or early September. Accord Plumbing was held back because Samuel was a man one crew and we had to wait upon him. This would address the concerns in the complaint stating that "they started to not show up when promised or that days and weeks would go by without progress". Mr. [redacted] was extremely nice but very concerned that he was going to get caught for not pulling the necessary permits for replacing windows, changing floor plans and doing structural changes. It was very uncomfortable conducting the work because Mr. [redacted] did not obtain necessary permits to save a couple of thousand dollars. Electrician was doing the work as a side job using the license of his boss without him being aware. I can provide information to all the people that were hired to do work on the [redacted] remodel if necessary. Mr. [redacted] states that phone calls would go unanswered, however he did not state if messages were left? We would like to know the phone number he called as well as the dates and times of his calls so I may address my staff. Mr. [redacted] states that he had many problems: • Heater in kitchen was never installed — This was not installed at Mr. [redacted]'s request. He did not want the cabinetry cut, he also said that the house was warm enough and they did not need it. • Heater in dining room stopped working (different plumber hired to fix) • Heater in Bathroom stopped working (different plumber hired to fix) • Sump Pump backup with continued malfunction (different plumber called to fix) This may have been under warranty or may still be warrantied. The Sump Pump was not included in the Contract (attached) and was installed and no additional cost. Mr. [redacted] supplied and paid for the Sump Pump himself. To find out if it is warrantied Mr. [redacted] would need to get the Make and Model of the Sump Pump along with information form bronze tag on sump pump and call the manufacturer. • Receipts for purchases of materials and supplies were and are not given because they were included in the contracted price of $16500.00. Again, Sump Pump was not included in this Contract. To our disappointment we never received a call to hear about these issues nor given the chance to fix them. We would have been more than happy to have assisted him with all his concerns. We can supply information from other customers as to our response time with call backs and addressing concerns. We have an impeccable record. Mr. [redacted] seemed to be happy with the service, in fact we were invited to his home for the Holidays. This Complaint comes as a very big surprise. The Desired Outcome of a new sump pump being provided and installed at no additional cost to Mr. [redacted] will not be honored for the following reasons: Mr. [redacted] purchased the Sump Pump himself and Accord Plumbing installed it at no additional cost.
