Like all the others who have recently complained on this postAccordia acquired my Life Policy from Athene; Accordia has not collected a payment from me since September I was told by my agent and Accordia's Customer Service that they are auditing/validating the value of all policies to ensure the value is correct to dateI would suggest they are intentionally manipulative perhaps with the hope the amounts will be so high in (arrears) outstanding premiums that are due that policies will lapse because people have no residual money when they are ready to resume paymentsIn the interim period I am filing a complaint with the Texas Department of InsuranceMy agent advised even if I sent them the back payments via mail we do not know when they will be posted and will possibly make matters worseThey are not accountableWhoever heard of a company delaying collecting their own premiums insanityThe Customer Service, Operations Team, Project Managers should be held accountable in the interim, regardless of when premium collection resumesI would advise others to also file a complaint with your State Insurance Board to expose this

According life made a billing error on my account I had proof of their error with bank account statements, and faxed the information to them It has been two months since the error took place and I have yet to receive my money back Also, the premium amount is different every monthWhen I call customer service to inquire about this, all they say is they don't know why it is differentNo one, not even my insurance agent has been able to give me an answer

We have had multiple horrible experiences with this company They bought out [redacted] & [redacted] The customer service is horrible Back in August we requested information for clients and it took well over months to get the information When they finally sent information it was information for the wrong clients which were not even our clients and they sent us confidential information It wasn't until we threatened to call the Revdex.com that they finally got us the correct information Now we are going through it all again It took me from 1/19/16- 1/25/just to get through on the phones and when I did it was a hour wait on the phones just for them to tell me they didn't have the information because the policies are "updating" When I asked to speak to a supervisor she hung up on meIt took me phone calls last time to get the information I needed When I asked why they lines were so busy they said they recently bought out another company Why buy out another company when you cant service the business that you have If you can avoid doing business with this company I would strongly suggest it It scares me to think if someone had a death claim or needed to take an emergency loan on a policyThey wouldn't be able to even get through to take care of it

years we each got a bill in the mail for $for back payments dueWe originally got this policy from [redacted] in It has been traded and sold so many times it has been hard to keep up with who was making the single monthly withdrawI am embarrassed to say I had not even noticed it went unpaid for so long But, we made payment arrangements to get both our policies current, they made the payments for my husband but not for meAfter yet another call, the agent said she did not show any payment arrangements on my account This time I choose to send in a hard check with a letter written by me They have hired an outside "Service Center" to help you when you call inBut, they can only submit work orders, once the order is submitted, it is out of their hands Reason's given are Computer problems they are manually processing all the policies that have been acquired Can't update policy until it is made current and up to date Can't setup Auto payments until policy is processed but cannot process because we are having computer issues blah blah blah I have never agreed with people rushing to sue but I am doing my researchThey are mishandling our money and messing with our future

Accordia purchased my whole life policy with investment strategy from Athene in My dealings with this company for the last year have been horrendous In an entire calendar year, they have been unable to successfully manage my policy Out of twelve months, they have only managed to correctly withdraw my monthly investment times Twice they withdrew the incorrect amount Six months they have not withdrawn anything I have called over ten times seeking help and explanation The company never follows up with what they say The answer is always the same: things are backed up because of transition Only on rare occasions can you speak with a supervisor They have absolutely driven me crazy I have filled a complaint with Revdex.com I have contact insurance commissioners in my home state and TN I encourage all people with similar experience to do the same They seem oblivious to the fact they are dealing with people's retirement and hard earned money I feel sorry for their customer service people forced to bear the brunt of this company gross incompetence

Have heard nothing about this company buying my policy. Have not received any communication since 2015 until I received my notice dated December 06,2016 that I now owe eleven( $11,000) thousand dollars. How can a company get by with this type of business. Why has not the State Insurance Corporation done something about this?

Financial company without any account statement since Aug 2015, after transition from Athene. Athene was an amazing great experience, such a difference. Very hard to understand how they manage such large amounts without client account transparency. Would be nice to have at least an annual financial itemized statement or online access. Can this be resolved? You can get a short summary in mail, upon customer service inquiry. Hard to set beneficiaries and other client information.

We have had multiple horrible experiences with this company. They bought out [redacted] & [redacted]. The customer service is horrible. Back in August we requested information for clients and it took well over 3 months to get the information. When they finally sent information it was information for the wrong clients which were not even our clients and they sent us confidential information. It wasn't until we threatened to call the Revdex.com that they finally got us the correct information.
Now we are going through it all again. It took me from 1/19/16- 1/25/16 just to get through on the phones and when I did it was a 2.5 hour wait on the phones just for them to tell me they didn't have the information because the policies are "updating". When I asked to speak to a supervisor she hung up on me. It took me 13 phone calls last time to get the information I needed.
When I asked why they lines were so busy they said they recently bought out another company. Why buy out another company when you cant service the business that you have. If you can avoid doing business with this company I would strongly suggest it. It scares me to think if someone had a death claim or needed to take an emergency loan on a policy. They wouldn't be able to even get through to take care of it.

My husband obtained a Life Insurance policy with this company approximately December 2014. We had the premium automatically deducted monthly from our bank account. Around November 2015, I noticed that the premium had not been coming out. Looking back, it had not been taken out since August 2015. At that time, we were 4 months behind. My husband called the company and was told that they planned to draft $500 from our bank account in December. We were not notified of this and had we not called, would not have known of this. This is right before Christmas, when money is tighter than usual. We asked that they not do this. We paid $33 to put a stop payment on it. Accordia had suggested we do this. They said that once the draft was rejected, we would receive a letter instructing that the $500 would be spread out over subsequent monthly payments until the account was current. January and February came and went with no letter from Accordia. Several phone calls were made. Finally, around July 2016, almost an entire year behind, we received a letter stating that $1200 would be drafted from our account on September 5,2016 (Labor Day). We were not happy about this, but we agreed. September 5th came and went with no bank draft. My husband again called and was told by Accordia that the money was drafted September 12th. Again, it was not out on our end. The next monthly premium was to come out October 5th, but it didn't come out either. So, now we are $1300 behind and Accordia still hasn't been able to resolve the issue. We are considering looking for another policy, but will lose our first year of premiums and my husband is now 2 years older, which could negatively impact our rates. The times my husband has called, no one offered an apology or an explanation. If they can't even take our money in over a year, how long will it take to get our money if something happens. I have zero faith left in this company.

Like all the others who have recently complained on this post. Accordia acquired my Life Policy from Athene; Accordia has not collected a payment from me since September 2015. I was told by my agent and Accordia's Customer Service that they are auditing/validating the value of all policies to ensure the value is correct to date.. I would suggest they are intentionally manipulative perhaps with the hope the amounts will be so high in (arrears) outstanding premiums that are due that policies will lapse because people have no residual money when they are ready to resume payments. In the interim period I am filing a complaint with the Texas Department of Insurance. My agent advised even if I sent them the back payments via mail we do not know when they will be posted and will possibly make matters worse. They are not accountable. Whoever heard of a company delaying collecting their own premiums insanity. The Customer Service, Operations Team, Project Managers should be held accountable in the interim, regardless of when premium collection resumes. I would advise others to also file a complaint with your State Insurance Board to expose this.

After yet another call, the agent said she did not show any payment arrangements on my account.

This time I choose to send in a hard check with a letter written by me.

They have hired an outside "Service Center" to help you when you call in. But, they can only submit work orders, once the order is submitted, it is out of their hands.
Reason's given are
Computer problems
they are manually processing all the policies that have been acquired
Can't update policy until it is made current and up to date.
Can't setup Auto payments until policy is processed but cannot process because we are having computer issues
blah blah blah

I have never agreed with people rushing to sue but I am doing my research. They are mishandling our money and messing with our future
