I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I have requested validation in writing that this debt was not already paid in full - years agoThey also had the incorrect last name for the date range that they are attempting to collect which clearly states they don't have accurate recordsI need to receive dates in which any and all payments were received including the date in which the payment that they are now trying to collect details to confirm it was never paid They have yet to provide me this appropriate documentation, instead they want payment over the phone and they did indeed threaten legal action It was to that statement from them that prompted me to ask for documentation validating that this bill had never been paid so long ago and I have the email that shows date that I requested this and they have not responded to this at allDue to the time lapse in which they are trying to collect a debt, it is my right to ask for more than a person telling me it wasn't paid, I need proof it wasn't paid and they have not been able to provide that to me They took over months to respond to this complaint, and based on the reviews and "scam" statements attached to this company on the internet, I still do not feel that I owe this balance I also do not want them to contact me or my husband any further, effective immediately

Account Source Recovery (“ASR”) is in receipt of the complaint referenced above. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to respond. ASR is a collection agency which collects debts it purchases, such as Ms. [redacted]’s loan. The original loan originated with [redacted] Group LLC. The last four account...

number digits are [redacted]. Attached for Ms. [redacted]’s and your office’s convenience is a validation of Ms. [redacted]’s loan. ASR did speak with Ms. [redacted]’s husband who first validated all of her information as required by federal law. Mr. [redacted] indicated he needed to speak to his wife. Ms. [redacted] called into ASR on June 15, 2015 and indicated that she wanted to check her bank records. ASR explained to Ms. [redacted] how loans originated. No further contact took place after that time. We believe Ms. [redacted] has mischaracterized what was said to her as ASR does not, and did not threaten Ms. [redacted] with legal action. ASR is required to send a letter to Ms. [redacted] and when we first spoke to her, we’re required to verify certain information as per federal law in order to send the required letter. We would like to note that we are not sure where Ms. [redacted] obtained her information that ASR is a “scam,” but wish there was some way to address this misinformation on the internet. ASR is a legitimate company registered with the Secretary of State. ASR will treat this complaint as a cease and desist and not contact Ms. [redacted] or her husband again regarding this account again unless Ms. [redacted] calls into ASR herself. Please contact ASR if we can be of any additional help in this matter. Sincerely, Account Source Recovery
