Review: My husband and I paid $270.00 to [redacted]. He was to prepare and file our personal Income tax for 2012. That happened in January of 2013. We realized that first he spelled both of our names wrong and he made several mistakes on the calculations. We went back for the corrections and didn't worry about it anymore until we found out that [redacted] had not file our New York State Tax return on time, ( We tried to pay and the State had no record of our return being filed), we than contacted [redacted] and he told us he was having problems with his software and he was going to file the tax return and take care of any late fees. This happened at the end of April. We called and emailed every week, but did not file out taxes until JUNE 2013. When we were finally able to pay our taxes we were charged $100.00 late fee,plus interest. We than called and emailed him several times asking for a refund of the late fee, and again all we ever heard from this man were excuses and we are now at the end of November and he won't return our calls or emails and apparently he has no intention to return our money.I think his attitude is totally unprofessional. He was unprofessional from beginning to end, from making spelling and calculation mistakes and not double checking his work to filing our taxes two months late and not even letting us know what was happening to refusing to refund our money. If I had ever made such a mess of things with a client I would refund not only the late fee but my whole fee. I think it is absurd to charge for a service you are not able to provide.Desired Settlement: You would like to receive our $100.00 late fee.And if he had any shame he would also refund his fee of $270.00. It would only be fair after all the grief hes put us through.
