Review: I hired Accounting Services to do my personal and business IRS and CA tax returns. Contact name is [redacted] C. [redacted]. I'm self employed so I pay estimated quarterly income taxes. Mr. [redacted] offered me to use my credits cards and pay his business, Accounting Services, and in return, Accounting Services will pay my quarterly taxes. He said that I will accumulate thousands of air miles and I agreed.. BIG MISTAKE... he kept most of my estimated tax payments. I finally googled his name and found out that he served time in jail for fabricating W2 forms and fraudulent refund claims. He also pleaded guilty to 4 counts of securities fraud for bilking 61 investors of $18million. There are several other fraud charges against him. As of this date, he kept close to $90,000 of my own money that I paid him to pay my estimated taxes. He's now hiding from me. Won't return my calls. email and text messages. Laguna Equities was his former company name.Desired Settlement: I want all my money I paid him back plus interest that I will pay the IRS and STATE

Review: We have used the same tax preparer for over twenty years until he passed away in 2012. I was speaking to a financial adviser at our bank and I asked if he could recommend a tax preparer and he said he had a client who was using a Mr. [redacted] CEO of Accounting Services Inc. and that his client spoke very highly of him. We checked the internet and read many glowing recommendations about Mr. [redacted] services and decided to contact him and make an appointment. We met with Mr. [redacted] in February 2013 and took our 2012 tax documents and previous two years returns. After reviewing our documents he said he would charge us $250 to prepare our returns and that would never increase in the future. A week later we received a call from Mr. [redacted] saying that we had a tax liability but he could offset that with a passive loss which we could purchase 11% interest in for $10,000 dollars. After a brief telephone discussion about the passive loss we gave him our credit card information over the phone to make the purchase. He filed our return electronically and we received a tax refund deposited in our bank.In early February 2014, we tried to call Mr. [redacted] to make an appointment to prepare our 2013 taxes and there was no answer, soon after we discovered that his offices were vacated. We found a new tax preparer and showed him our tax return documents filed for 2012 and he informed us that the passive loss was a false deduction.Desired Settlement: I have sent this information (form 14157 Tax Return Preparer complaint ) with our tax records and preparer receipts to the IRS (in Atlanta, GA) explaining as I did above what took place and I am waiting for their resolution of this complaint.
