I am writing in regards to a letter I received on February 6, 2017 from Revdex.com concerning [redacted].He and his wife were my clients till they left and went somewhere else.  They came back in 2011.The last two years, they got caught up in identity theft.  The first year, they received...

their taxes back in a timely manner.  The second year, took many hours on the phone dealing with the IRS.  The IRS asked me to fax several times, tax papers and send several times additional tax papers registered mail to the fraud department.  The IRS was only wanting to deal with me as the tax preparer for this identity theft.  The mailings cost $31.20.  They finally received their refund in January 2017.They dropped off their taxes on February 3, 2017 and I got them done right away because of the fear of being hit again by identity theft.  Last year, their taxes were $75.  They had more forms that cost $30.  My cost went up $25 for this tax year.  I added the postage cost of $31.20 for the IRS mailings that I had to make for them.  When we called, we had to leave a message to let them know their taxes were done.  We left a message telling them what they owed for this year's tax return and for the postage which totaled $161.20.  He called back the next day and asked me three times how much he owed me and I had explained each cost factor.  I think he was wanting me to come down on my price!  I got aggravated because he kept asking me and I repeated the same amount.  I told him that he could come by and pick up their personal papers that they had dropped off to me.  I felt that they were not appreciative of all the time I had spent on this with the IRS which I did not charge them for my time!
