[redacted] seems to be a nice person, but he is incompetent and unreliable. Out of 10 days working on a fireplace install, he was present about 3. He did not have the right tools to work, routinely left saying he would be back and never showed up without a phone call, and we couild never tell when he was coming because he did not communicate. He partially installed a gas pipe and vent hoses for a fireplace insert. When he told me that he was planning to use PVC to finish the job because he saw some flexible stainless steel gas paping to the tankless water heater, I knew that he was dangerous. He is poor as a church mouse so there is no hope of getting any money back from him. I gave him 83% of the agreed money upfront because I was sympathetic to is stories, but I did not trust him to finish the job....if he even could... and dismissed him and hired another. The job was done in two days by the other plumber. Though I am a soft touch for a hardluck story, my experience with [redacted] is that he uses them purposefully to slide by. Don't use him for anyting related with gas. He couid blow you and your house up.
