Accurate Collisions over charged my insurance company, for parts that my car didn't even need
My insurance wrote a check of $8,for my car to get fixed at the auto Body shopThey wrote in the estimate that most of the parts needed to be completely "replaced" by used and new partsThe USED replacements were NEVER replaced, just repaired; and the parts that needed to be replaced by NEW ones were replaced by USED parts, or not even touched at all
They charged for parts that weren't even needed, they didn't even bother to buy them
When I confronted the manager of this business, he said that he needed to get his money somehowSupposedly he charges $an hour for working on my car, but since the insurance only paid $and $50, he needed to get the remainder some other wayThey had my car in their shop for six weeks
They were very disrespectful to me
It's so stressful that I was expecting a new door and when I saw my car after picking it up, it was so disappointing t

I dropped my car off at Accurate Collision Center for repair, I was lied to, my signature was forged, and repairs were started on my car that I did not authorizationHe only had authorization to take the rear bumper off for appraisalMy car incurred additional damages while at his shop.Someone that works at the body shop told me that he seen the owner hitting my car with a hammer once the bumper was removed, and me myself seen much more damage than when I dropped it offHis reasoning was because how can tell how much damage was under the bumper once removed, and how did I know I didn't get hit by a *** truckMy car had a clean carfax prior to bringing it to his shopMy insurance company appraised the damages at *** and he is sending me a bill for *** that price does not include my car actually being fixedI now have to hire an attorney to get my car because he will not release it to me and has placed a mechanic's lien on it stating he needs to be paid for the parts h

Vehicle returned with new damage, proper paper work not provided upon request, and work completed was not done correctly or adequately. My car was brought to Accurate Collision for repairs the first week of Aug 2013 and not returned until late Sept 2013. The car was returned with new paint damage on the side of the car and the work that was done, was done incorrectly. It is now causing wind noise and possible water damage due to this. I also was refused any and all paper work when I asked for it upon receiving my car back. I was told by the [redacted], [redacted], they didn't have to give it to me, when it was requested for my own records. I had my car re-appraised by my insurance company to find that some of the work billed to my insurance company was not performed, which is probably why I was refused the paperwork. Desired SettlementI am interested in having my car fixed correctly by another shop certified by insurance company at the expense of Accurate Collision or their insurance company. I am not comfortable sending my vehicle back to them as I believe they are not honest in their business endeavors.Consumer Response Yes, I have heard from them and I would prefer not to. The shop offered to fix my car, but I do not trust them and am not interested in bringing my vehicle back to them. I still have no received on bit of paperwork, including anything that I signed from them. According to the Attorney general, they are supposed to provide me with paperwork pertaining to the work they did on my vehicle. My car has new damage and the work that he was paid to do and parts that were paid for by my insurance company were not done and not replaced. yet he still was paid for them. This guy is running a fraudulent business and I want my vehicle fixed somewhere else at the expense of Accurate Collision. The parts were not assembled correctly and the new paint damage will worsen along with the winter weather causing even more damage. This is a time sensitive matter to get this fixed. So please keep trying to contact this business and let me know if there is anything else I need to do. Thank you for your time on this matter. Sincerely, [redacted]Business Response [redacted] has contacted our body shop we tried to accomodate her with a rental and to take care of the issues she has complained about. She refuses to bring the vehicle in. [redacted] has also spoken to the inusrance co and tried to set up a meeting with [redacted], the appraiser and himself to go over the vehicle. [redacted] is awaiting a call back from the insurance co. As for paperwork [redacted] should have been provided copies either by the appraiser themself or her insurance company. We are still waiting to hear back from Insurance co to rectify this situation.Consumer Response Yes, I have heard from them and I would prefer not to. my insurance company has approved $ 530 for fixing my rear end bumper but this mechanic wants $4300 for a very minor damage that could be easily fixedi got into a rear end collision on october 10, 2014 so I sent my car to this shop on October 14, 2014. The appraisal was done and he made an estimate of $ 4300 which I thought was extremely ridiculous. As expected , commerce insurance requested for an accident reconstruction to investigate the veracity of the estimate after which they approved $530 for fixing the rear end bumper. Now this shop is keeping my car because he wants $4300 which is absurd. I have had to keep the rental car even though the insurance company cut me off the rental because they have made payment regarding the claim.Desired SettlementAfter I got into a rear end collision on October 10, 2014, I filled a claims with my insurance company on October 13 ,2014 and sent my car to accurate collisions on October 14, 2014 to get it fixed. Commerce sent someone to do the appraisal however they disputed the estimate and had to send another person to do an accident reconstruction and also investigate the claims further . These processes combined have taken more than three months . I have had to pay $ 2053 as at 01/07/2015 for car rental at enterprise car rental in Worcester Ma and I'm still paying for rental since my car is not ready. My adjuster at commerce , Catherine Leblanc told me they can only reimburse $ 900 for me leaving over $ 1200 in rentals for me to pay out of pocket even though I have a full coverage. I want my car out of mechanic's shop and also want to be reimbursed all the money I have spent on rentals. Thank youBusiness Response In regards to [redacted]'s claim. He brought us the vehicle on October 15, 2014. Accurate Collision called Commerce Insurance to have the vehicle assigned to be looked at. On November 3, 2014 [redacted] of Commerce Insurance came out and appraised the vehicle. He wrote and estimate of $4306.72 Accurate Collision does not write the appraisal for the insurance company. On November 5,2014 we received the appraisal and they also stated do not continue working on the vehicle because it was under investigation. Accurate had to stop working on his vehicle while Commerce investigated the claim. In the meantime we were calling Commerce to have his rental extended because the delay was on their behalf not Accurate's. On November 5, 2014 Commerce assigned Mike Maroli to come and do the analysis for the investigation. MIke did not show up until December 11, 2014. On December 22, 2014 we called Kyle in Special Investigations at Commerce insurance to see if the investigation was complete. He said it would not be complete until Mike Maroli returned from vacation. Finally on January 13, 2015 we received a DIFFERENT re done appraisal in the amount of$533.84No one has presented Accurate or [redacted] with the findings from the investigation. We do not know why the appraisal was changed. We were authorized by [redacted] to repair the car when he came to us the very first day. He signed paperwork authorizing us to repair the car, negotiate with Commerce and also for Commerce to pay us directly. We have made numerous calls to Commerce on behalf of [redacted] but they wont provide us with any information. We want to fix the car correctly for [redacted] which is our intention with all our customers. Thank You[redacted] Consumer Response I know I am responsible for 15 days of storage fees since I willingly sent my car over to his shop so I'm willing to pay him for that and get my car out of his shopOn Fri, Jan 23, 2015 at 11:53 AM, [redacted], [redacted] wrote:I have received an email and paper copies of the findings of commerce insurance and I cannot explain why they haven't sent him a copy. That not withstanding, his respond doesn't say anything new. My request was that, commerce has declined or rejected the estimate he gave to them and since we didn't agree on any estimate, he didn't have to work on the car and should release my car to me. Massachusetts costumer right explains it betterRight to a written estimate before the repairs are made...Before beginning any work, a repair shop must give you a written estimate listing the specific repairs to be made. The estimate must list the specific parts, labor, and cost of the repairs, unless the charges are posted where they may readily be seen. This written estimate must be signed by you. 940 CMR 5.05 (3)

The auto repair that I entrusted my car to for simple repairs is committing fraud and very questionable business practices.I brought my car in for repair. The original estimate was for barely over $700. The shop requested a supplement through my Insurace indicating an additional $3,000 worth of damage. This huge difference caused a red flag and it is currently under special investigation. The shop owner will not give me my car back. He stated to me on June 25th that my car is done. He is charging me storage fees going back to June 13th and also revoked covering the rental as the shop had originally agreed to cover. He has not cooperated with the investigating causing a delay and unneeded cost and stress to myself. He threw away the damaged parts and did not make them available to myself or my insurance agency, I did not authorize any work other than the original estimate. He has signed my name to additional documents and is committing fraud. When I spoke to the [redacted] his tone was mean and condescending and he used many vulgar words. I feel hopeless dealing with him and the shop. I tried to remind him I am his customer and he indicated to me that I am stupid.Desired SettlementI would like my car returned to me, the storage fees to be cleared From my account as well as the body shop to cover the rental as agreed. I also believe he should accept the payment of the original amount of repairs.Business Response We at Accurate Collision have certain paperwork that we provide to every customer and ask that they sign it. We explain to them what they are signing. The damage in question was hidden damage that the first appraiser could not see. We removed the parts to allow for a second appraisal and a licensed appraiser from her insurance company (COmmerce Insurance) completed the second appraisal. Her insurance company then investigated the claim because they thought she had another accident. We finished the car and waited for Commerce Insurance to complete their investigation. Once completed the insurance company paid the claim and the customer picked up her vehicle. There were charges for storage that Commerce Insurance paid while they investigated the claim. We would never ever sign a customers name to any documents. We have every single customer sign the same 3 forms that she was well aware and signed. When she did pick up her vehicle she came with a loan officer from her bank and she was completely satisfied with the repair.

Accurate Collision fraudulently cashed an insurance check , without rendering services to a car. Owner of vehicle was out of the country, yet auto body had boyfriend sign insurance check over, without knowledge or consent of the owner. Yet auto body was told specifically by boyfriend that claim process should wait until owner confirms the auto body of choice to ensure satisfaction. Accurate Collision processed the claim anyway. Owner called to have car fixed at [redacted] auto body, only to know that the check had been cashed over 3 months ago to accurate collision. [redacted] S ", claims to have ordered parts for a car that was never left at the auto body or consented to by owner suggesting cash figures of door pricing of $850 to some and $1500 to others. When owner called, he offered to throw some cash to owner if car was fixed here.Desired SettlementI want a full refund of the insurance check sent back to my insurance company, so that I can have my car fixed at the autobody of my choice. I also would like a copy of the dated purchase order and receipt for "door ordered" prior to autobody cashing check.Business Response On June 5th 2014 my friend [redacted] called me in regards to repairing his [redacted]. He stated the car was hit she was out of the country and they needed to get the car fixed before she got back. [redacted] then came down to Accurate Collision to speak with me directly. He is a friend of mine since childhood so I wanted to help him out. He was with [redacted]'s husband. They stated they needed the car fixed fast. [redacted]'s husband signed paperwork and authorized me to order the parts for the repair. He also signed a direction to pay which allows the insurance company to pay us directly for the repairs. They got into a rental and left the car. I ordered the parts as they instructed me to do for the repairs to be completed as fast as possible. Later that day they returned and told me to call when the parts were in, they wanted to drive their own vehicle. I received the parts the next day and painted them so we could finish the repair fast for the customer. At that time he advised me they were going to wait until his [redacted] returned from her trip and she can call me directly to drop off the vehicle. He asked if we would give her some money back if she did the repairs with us. I never heard from the [redacted] when she returned. I got a call 8 months later getting yelled at asking why would I cash the insurance check. I stated I was asked to get the parts quickly which I did. I explained the form for the insurance company to pay us directly was signed by your husband. She then informed me he wasn't her husband. I said if you don't want me to do the work then I can refund you minus the parts. [redacted] called, [redacted] called, their mother called. I explained to them I cannot return the parts months later and all I did was do exactly what was asked of me.I am still willing to refund them money minus the cost of the parts. I am still willing to complete the repairs to the vehicle and give them a lifetime warranty on any repairs we do.All Accurate Collision did was what was asked of us by the customer. We try to do this on every repair to the best of our ability.Thank You[redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I am the owner of the vehicle and I am not married . Autobody was told specifically to wait for me to decide ,by brother and boyfriend . however my brother and boyfriend never left my car there ,and never received a rental as it was brought to a different autobody shop directly after . I asked for a receipt of the door as I was told it was 1500 but the price of 800 was given to my mother , [redacted] insisted that the work would be done satisfactorily at the auto shop even suggesting that he could throw me some cash . I called my insurance company and they are going to handle it . As of my knowledge they are in pursuit .

Did not do the repair work correctly and did not install parts into vehicle that was specified in Insurance report.Vehicle was hit by a deer on June 2, 2014. Dropped off to repair shop on June, 3 2014. [redacted] appraised damage at $4256.14. Finally picking up vehicle on August 6, 2014, noticed vehicle was not done as specified on insurance report. Called insurance company and they inspected vehicle. The Intensified Appraisal Report indicated corrective action should be taken as it was not done to satisfaction. Upon the re-appraisal $26271.11 was not done and parts were not replaced as specified. It could total more as you got into repairs.Desired SettlementJust want the vehicle done properly.Business Response Mr. [redacted] brought his car here after his car was hit by a deer. Mr. [redacted] wanted the car repaired as well as other damage that was not related to the loss. Accurate Collision and Mr. [redacted] came to an agreement on what to fix to bring the car back to pre accident condition. There were many parts that were factory back-ordered that delayed the repair. As a convenience to Mr. [redacted] we paid for the rental car that he was in. This is the first notice we have recieved expressing that there was any issue with the car. Mr. [redacted] did not contact us to discuss the repair. As with any customer we guarantee all work done to the vehicle.

Accurate Collision was authorized to repair damage on 2 vehicles from 1-car accidents. They forged my signature, altered docs & did unauthorized work [redacted] in late 2011 & early 2012 authorized Accurate Collision ("AC") to repair damages of 2 cars (2009 Mercedes Benz & 2010 Landrover) as a result of 2 single car collisions with no injury. [redacted] reviewed the claim & I authorized direct payment for only Landrover claim. AC fraudulently claimed that we requested additional work for thousands of dollars- 4 new tires and wheels for a car with less than 24000 mile. They inserted [redacted] onto a document that I had already signed. They charged posted rates without my ever having seen them - I have never been to their place of business. Also $1000s accrued in storage fees while this matter remains in dispute. I am in process of filing bankruptcy. [redacted] wouldn't assist, but just paid the accident claims & dropped our coverage. 2 Finance companies have sued me for lack of payments & AC to recover the cars. The LLC prematurely closed due to cash flow issues. As a result, I owe over [redacted] thousand as guarantor to the lease/purchase documents. The LLC has no assets & has defaulted in any negotiations.Desired SettlementReturn the 2 cars in working condition to me/the finance companies.Restitution of any fees incurred by me or the LLC trying to recover the cars.Refund of all rental fees spent for substitute transportation.Business Response In regards to Case # XXXXXX [redacted] This has gone through trial. The Complainant nver showed up to court each time and we gained ownership of the vehicles this case was settled in court..Kind Regards, [redacted]Accurate Collision Inc1051 Millbury StreetWorcester, MA 01607P XXX-XXX-XXXXF XXX-XXX-XXXXConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Lawsuits were filed among and between 2 finance companies, [redacted] me, Accurate Collision and the insurance company. The finance companies, taking the path of least resistance, settled with Accurate Collision to recover their vehicles, as they were first lien-holders. The finance companies are now continuing to sue me for over $200 thousand, as the loan guarantor. My cases never came to trial; they were dismissed when our attorney dropped us as a client when we ran out of money to pay his fees. The facts of my case have never been heard in court. Accurate Collision never disproved my claim or won at trial. My only recourse at this time was to involve the police and the district attorney's office to investigate the case. Logically, why would I bring 2 cars with minor damage, each from a single car accident, authorize direct payment by the insurance company and then refuse to make payment after the additional work which I allegedly authorized was performed? And not pay twice, on 2 luxury cars? Does that make any sense and then hire an attorney for thousands of dollars to recover the two vehicles AND pay for a rental vehicle? Both of these cars, a Mercedes and a Land Rover, had limited mileage and required no additional work, especially new wheels and tires. Pictures from the insurance company support this assertion. This type of action is the modus operandi of Accurate Collision. Similar cases of their performing unauthorized work have been referred to me by an attorney investigating the case. It is therefore important that the public become aware of their unethical, if not illegal, business practices.
