I am a single woman. I have bought a home last month. This is my first real estate purchase I have made. This house was empty, no one was living when I bought or visited.
The day I moved in the house air-condition was not working. I called home inspection company as they checked everything.. They told me someone would come tomorrow, between 1 pm to 5 pm. No one came. Called them again, I was told that they would call you soon, which also never happened.
As I am a single working woman, I don’t have enough time for organizing or unpacking. This week I was cleaning and organizing kitchen and as soon as I opened cabinet under the sink, I have seen all paper towel role were wet and there was a big crack on garbage disposal. The crack is visible and that should be mention during the home inspection. I have written an email with picture. They have not replied yet. During the inspection I was there but frankly telling you, I do not know anything about it accept visible spot or if something broken. I show him so many issues thing that I can see for example windows or carpet. About the carpet stain, he said it would go away if you steam clean it. I have believed him too. I paid carpet-cleaning company to clean it and did not go away. They said it is not going to go. You have to change the carpet.
I am writing these all here because it is a fraud and everyone should aware of it and no one can get cheat by this company.

The home inspector, Fred R[redacted] rushed me through the process due to another meeting. He did not inspect the attic. There were mice in the attic found after the purchase of the home. There are also two roof leaks one of which completely saturated the insulation as soon as you enter the attic along the chimney. It was very obvious and apparent that he did not inspect the attic because these findings were not indicated in his report. Once the leaks were found, I contacted Fred R[redacted]. We locked down a date for him to come and he did not call or show up. I indicated that I was not happy and if he didn't want to come out and fix the issue we could go the litigation route. On the phone he was unprofessional; elevating his voice at me and using profanity while speaking to my fiance. His erratic behavior and superficial inspection, did not protect us from buying a home with a leaking roof and mice living in the attic. Following this I decided to have my home warranty and pest contract fix the issues. Once I indicated I would be writing this review he called me back and threatened me with legal action and told me to reference a case in Fairfax. Do not use this service.

Save your money! We had Lorne come out and do a pre-drywall inspection on a new house we were building and he found nothing so that was a waste. We then hired them to do the final walk through with us and he didn't even find half of what my husband found. We now find out that we have major damage that was done to our roof during installation, it sure would have been nice if he had noticed that. It was a complete waste of money and we wish we hadn't hired them! Don't make the same mistake!
